The 2-deep is out

17/22 starting positions are filled by a junior or senior. I do not believe it would be accurate to call this a rebuilding team.

Kind of surprised little Gilman isn’t on there as a returner. But as we know, the depth chart doesn’t mean a whole hell of a lot either.
Huh, when has Gilman been a main returner? He's fast, I admit that.

Who the hell is talking about this as a "rebuilding" team?? Everyone with half a brain considers it a national championship level team.

Very interested to see how Botner works at Center. That is a tall man for that position. Obviously has the mental fortitude to be a center, but man seeing around him at 6’6 is gotta be something for our back field… thoughts?
I agree , Mantana--I'm just an armchair QB, that being said, I remember most O lines in college and the NFL starting out shortest @ center, guards same height, maybe a little taller, and your OT's, charged with defending taller, rushing D ends, at 6-5 to 6-8. And indeed our two starting OT's, P and Johnson stand 6-6, 6-7.

Coach Norcross has forgot more about the O line than I ever knew, so if he thinks Botner is the man, good enough for me !!! I just think Dillon is going to experience a hurting mullet and the rest of his head several times this season when Ah Yat, Jensen or Flowers accidentally drill him in the bavk of the helmet with a bullet pass and we could see some reflections, including pics, off Dillon as well because he is 5 to 6 inches taller than our top three QB's. ( If we had our old QB Brady Gustafson at 6-7 back behind center, Dillon's height would be close to a non-issue. )

I'm guessing the coaching staff would rather have an older, steady hand to bring in and steady the ship if Ah Yat goes down rather than the high potential gun slinging that Flowers can bring.
Yeah, I guess so. But he'll be on a short leash. Well shit, all the players are. I think Brian is gonna have an incredible season, but if need be, we're not in bad shape. (Well. I could get more exercise and lose some weight. Shit, it's not even winter. WTF,!!).

I’ve heard he needs to work on his hands more
I think the big thing this year is it was particularly difficult to make the 2 deep. There are a lot of dudes, whom I presume will see rotational time, who aren't listed on the two deep. Looking at the roster and two deep, there are a lot of dudes not listed on the 2 deep, who had very solid camps. Great depth on this squad at first glance!!
