Hey, you're finally getting it!! bub QB play IS very random!!You're the one saying he is the best in bobcat history, I've never said that.
Why bring up jordy johnson? That's random.
Congratulations on your progress!!! Your mom will be very proud!

If the bubs were miles ahead with Tommy the Griz were miles ahead of the bubs in developing quarterbacks for three decades before Tommy MellottBubs aside, it would be great to see the Griz develop a QB. Bubs have been miles ahead though with Tommy, especially when he really wasn't a QB, yet dusted everyone.
You mean Scrubs like Lulay and McGhee. Also, if you have to hang your hat on the past, means the present might not be that great. If the bubs were miles ahead with Tommy the Griz were miles ahead of the bubs in developing quarterbacks for three decades before Tommy Mellott
I think we have a chance with Ah Yat or Flowers. But with the portal it has to be hard for coaches not to take a transfer that makes you better right now. The extra years of eligibility of Covid, JC exemption etc have put kids right out of high school the last few years in a huge disadvantage. Jensen might be best option for Griz the next two years but will he be 26, 27 when he’s done? And also how much will coaches put into a kid that can transfer if he’s not seeing playing time in the next year or two? I don’t know the answers but it’s way more complex than it was in the past.Bubs aside, it would be great to see the Griz develop a QB. Had Mellott come to UM, he would have won the Payton Award twice. Speaking of weddings, I'm invited to the wedding of a former UM coach's daughter this summer. Does that count? Ha. I don't diss Vigen, but thought he might not have had his best game in Frisco earlier this year. He must be a good coach. I hear he's a nice guy too. Some dumb posts in here on Vigen's QB development. It's was Vigen's decision to convert Tommy to full time QB at the start of the payoff run in 2021. He decided to go with a true freshman special teams kid from Butte over the #2-4 backups in the QB room. The only thing that stopped Tommy on that run was a broken foot in the chipper. Vigen continued to develop Tommy into a Walter Payton award winner. Has Bobby ever developed a Walter Payton award winning QB?
Also a bad post on current NFL MVP Josh Allen, who was a Vigen recruit and who was developed by Vigen. Vigen is quite literally invited to Josh's wedding at the end of the month, and he and gives plenty of credit to Vigen on his high draft pick and prolific NFL career.
Anyway, I enjoyed reading posts from all the really smart people over here misread Craig's article. The article was actually pretty good and well supported. I personally don't like the Cats dropping down to #4, but whatever. It's as good of a prediction as any this time of year.
Much of what was reported was true leading up to the title game, and it had a big negative impact imo. Contrary to reporting from a source from CDA, Vigen was offered the Wazzup HC job and he gave a verbal acceptance with the caveat of finishing through the championship with the Cats. That was all true, even the part when he made the announcement to the team. Wazzu wanted Vigen to come immediately and have an assistant acting HC for the championship, and then pulled the offer when Vigen played hardball. A game of chicken that Vigen lost. I'm pretty sure if he had it to do over again, or if he's in this situation again, he'll be gone. He lost out on ~$8M over 4 years. I wouldn't blame him for leaving next time.Had Mellott come to UM, he would have won the Payton Award twice. I was aware of most of that and am sure that didn’t help. I said so before the game, on the WSU part. Nevertheless, Vigen also seemed to make various mistakes. The Cats were lucky to come back. I thought they deserved to get blown out, after the first half. Mellott can always play on my team. I said before the Payton announcement that he should and would win the Payton. I didn’t notice any Cats say that on egriz.Much of what was reported was true leading up to the title game, and it had a big negative impact imo. Combined that distraction with guys like Rohan Jones and Connor Moore signing sizable NIL deals prior to the game, it made for a pretty bad day all around for the Cats. That type distraction will be the same for any team playing in January, and it will only get worse. Moore and Jones both had awful games because (imo) their heads were already with their future P4 teams and they didn't want to get hurt.
Not trying to make excuses for the loss. NDSU was damn good and they play like they're on a home field in Frisco. Cats got beat in spite of Tommy's second have heroics.
Says the guy who doesn't care about the Montana state bobcats or Tommy Mellott..The real hero was the guy who gets paid peanuts and had to clean up the wine guy's needless sideline mess.
Very true. It was a disgusting act.The real hero was the guy who gets paid peanuts and had to clean up the wine guy's needless sideline mess.
Didn’t look like there was much in the can. Maybe some paper cups, a few plastic bottles and some old tape. A 30 or 60 second clean up job. I heard Tommy cleaned it up after the game, but don’t know if that’s true. ABC probably can shed some light on this. The real hero was the guy who gets paid peanuts and had to clean up the wine guy's needless sideline mess.
The bigger problem could be his protection. Lots of holes on that roster. Cats got hit pretty hard after this past season. Their schedule isn’t difficult, but I think we will now see the demise of Vegan and a return to mediocrity. Let’s face it, Cats had two phenomenal and once in a rare moon type of players with Anderson and Mellott. They built great offense and defensive lines and recruited well. Both spent their entire careers at MSU and this was largely pre- NIL, or at least the full blown NIL. Not sure that would happen again. Cats should be top 10 due to schedule, but doubtful they are a threat come playoffs. The bubs are going with a qb that couldn't start at putrid Stanford one of the worst teams in the country? Atleast our guy came from USC a decent program.
Is that me? This is the first I heard him cleaning up, and I highly doubt it. I suspect a trainer or equipment person had it done right away. I know he took an interview immediately after the game and then I think he hit the locker room pretty quick. I'm guessing he wishes he could have that interview question back. Tough for anybody to get in front of a camera in that emotional state. I did go back and rewatch the trashcan video again, and I agree it was probably about 30 seconds of work. The reaction over would indicate Tommy created a Superfund site and that's the reason the game moved to Nashville.Didn’t look like there was much in the can.
