I wouldn't trade for the Cat program. Some nice on-field success (certainly not last season, and after many years without success), but too many issues. For example, legal issues of coaches, poor decisions by administrators and head coach, some rumored PED stuff, not a great stadium, too cold late in season, have lost too many good players to Portal, coach turnover, have been fortunate to have Tommy but that will end after this season and likely cause a decline, too many obnoxious fans (the song stuff at weddings, etc.). I don't know where the Cats rank in player grades, but the Griz are up high. Their attendance has improved nicely, but it's still way below the Griz. I hear that YC and perhaps others have willing to put up some bucks. Good for them. And while the cities aren't the program, Missoula is a much better place than Bozeman.

They are so proud of all the Californies and transplants taking over the Gelatin valley. It’s crazy. Place has changed drastically and not for the better. Lots of Cat fans are. Maybe you’re one of them.

There are unarguable facts in Franks article that should spur introspection and improvement in the program. I think most Griz fans can see that.

The Griz played in the national championship less than a year ago….while the Cats didn’t win a playoff game. Things can change in a hurry like we are seeing this year. You can beat your drum about the cats all you want, but you’ve gone from national title game, to semis, to not winning a playoff game in a 3 year span. Not exactly an amazing run. And you ass hats who ask questions like this fail to realize some key points….I’m not the coach or the staff, I don’t recruit the players, I don’t install the offense or the defense or the special teams. WTF do you want me to do to make the team better? All I can do is support NIL, buy season tix, and cheer for the Griz. So I will do that.

The Griz have had numerous great returners. He will be replaced. TM is a generational player with his playing and leadership skills. He will be challenging to replace.

I’m just a fan, but I think it’s ok, on a fan forum, to ask questions about the team and where it is, and where it’s going.

I don’t have to justify my Griz fandom to you or anyone else. The only drum I’ve been beating is that the Griz need to improve as a program, and how I think they can do that. I don’t have any influence over the team either, but that doesn’t mean I can’t discuss it.

If what you’ve got from my posts is that I’m a Cat fan, that’s on you. You apparently weren’t reading very closely.

If you think everything’s great with the Griz because of the ‘23 Natty run, great. There are those of us that think ‘23 was an outlier for both teams, and there are facts to back that up. This seems like an appropriate topic for a Griz football forum.

I think it’s awesome you support NIL and the team. That definitely helps, and retaining Gillman was a huge victory! Go Griz!

Also, do you think they are running that offense because it's what Vigen wants to run with his OL and RBs, or because it's the offense best suited to Tommy, specifically? You should go take a look at their stats from 2021 from when McKay was the QB a little more closely if you think it's the former.

That is my point. I think Vigen will design the offense to the QB he'll have next year. There are two capable guys on the roster. Not sure what you mean about McKay. He was 10-1 when Tommy took over so there are not alot of stats to compare. He did run a much different offense with Tommy.
I'm glad everyone on here now agrees that Tommy is an amazing QB. It took you guys four years to say it. Now the narrative is that the cats can't win without him. I think next year will be just as fun as this year for them. They actually have a team and not just a couple of skill players that they rely on yo bail them out.

A lot of discussion because you and the other 17 cat trolls here keep going on and on about how the cats would beat the Chiefs at this point and will now go on a 10 year Bison run of National championships. There are a lot of reasonable posters here who are saying the cats are very good, especially this year, but that doesn’t mean they are a Bison dynasty yet. Hell they might get bounced Saturday still, who knows. It wouldn’t be a lot of cats discussion if you dumbass trolls would go back to your own board and get your validation there.

It's really a strange phenomenon. There are so many troll accounts now. It's like they all have been in a coma for the last 15+years and think it's still a worthy endeavor. "Hey fellers, check out what I posted on that there Griz board. They ain't got no clue I ain't even no Griz fan! I'm gonna post the same thing over and over and over! The Griz program is very good. Had a great season last year. Had a disappointing season this year. So what? That happens in sport. The Cats had a bad season in 2023. Now they are having a good season. You really don't understand football or sport, do you? Teams don't get to the national championship as outliers. You don't understand that, do you?
