NDSU wasn’t some average team… if it wasn’t for a crazy no call against the gris they would’ve been in the national championship. What is your end game here...validating hoops point?

Yes, and they were unseeded. And that’s what I said. Why will Cats be good and better than last year. Don’t bother telling us irrelevant things or things we already know. That “unseeded team” was NDSU…
Spot on!No, I don’t view a 6-2 Cat team that lost to a 6-2 Idaho team as being second in conference. That’s 3d. Idaho ended up no. 4 in the nation.
The Griz should have won the game before OT. NDSU was fortunate to get to OT. UM didn’t win on a crazy no-call. They won on a great play.NDSU wasn’t some average team… if it wasn’t for a crazy no call against the gris they would’ve been in the national championship.
With that schedule?? They'd certainly better, or it'll be time to bring back Coach Ron "Art of Winning .500 Ball" Ash.The CATS were a good to great team last year, but looking at the whole season I would agree it was disappointing - and calling them GREAT might be a stretch. All that said, the four losses were to the four best teams in the country... and three of those games were nail biters that could have gone either way. Specifically, the early season game against hands down the clear cut best team in the country... AT their place, when both teams were relatively healthy... the Cats came within a RCH of taking them down, and some fans think the CATS actually should have won if not a questionable call on the TD catch at the end.
If anyone wants to bet me $$ that the Cats won't finish the regular season 8-4 or better, I'll gladly take that bet.
I think new OC and DC will switch things up enough that will be less predictable. We lost some talent but easily replaced it and continued to develop everyone else.Yes, and they were unseeded. Backups better than the starters. A bubcat staple.I think new OC and DC will switch things up enough that will be less predictable. We lost some talent but easily replaced it and continued to develop everyone else.
Where did I say that? I will say the OL and DL twos are good but definitely not as good as starters.Backups better than the starters. A bubcat staple.
What is RCH?the Cats came within a RCH of taking them down, and some fans think the CATS actually should have won if not a questionable call on the TD catch at the end.
None of this is a rebuttal to the actual fact that they were unseeded.NDSU wasn’t some average team… if it wasn’t for a crazy no call against the gris they would’ve been in the national championship.
"easily replaced" certainly indicates that the backups are at least as good as the starters. It's okay; we hear it from you guys every year. Certainly no surprises there.Where did I say that? I will say the OL and DL twos are good but definitely not as good as starters.
You're not being serious are you? What crazy no call? PI on the two point play?NDSU wasn’t some average team… if it wasn’t for a crazy no call against the gris they would’ve been in the national championship.
I can't wait for this answer. Definitely going to display lack of football knowledge if that's his claim. You're not being serious are you? What crazy no call? PI on the two point play?
4 or more all conf players will be easily replaced, including 3 who went to FBS?"easily replaced" certainly indicates that the backups are at least as good as the starters. It's okay; we hear it from you guys every year. Certainly no surprises there.
Haha. you are correct on the no call. because there was literally nothing to call.NDSU wasn’t some average team… if it wasn’t for a crazy no call against the gris they would’ve been in the national championship.
This post is spot on. Vigen has a lot to prove this year. With that schedule?? They'd certainly better, or it'll be time to bring back Coach Ron "Art of Winning .500 Ball" Ash.
I'll bite. Mine is more a repudiation of the rest of the Big Sky in this upcoming year. Every team has question marks, of course, but I feel like the Griz have overall far less. And behind them, the Cats have the least question marks for me. We have every reason to believe their offensive line will be really strong again, Mellott will only be better with another year (even if I still think he is poorly served as a QB in their system), and they have shown that they can grind through the vast majority of the conference. They lose some players, but the teams I ranked below them lost more.If you think a team that loses 1/3 of their games, loses their first playoff game at home to an unseeded team, gets crushed by the Griz, and ends up being ranked no. 8, is a good team, go for it. I don’t know any Cat fans who think the Cats had a good season. They all believe the season was disappointing. No, I don’t view a 6-2 Cat team that lost to a 6-2 Idaho team as being second in conference. That’s 3d. Idaho ended up no. 4 in the nation. See conference website.

Why is it so hard for some of you to just explain why you think the Cats will be as good as you apparently think they will be? That was my question.
Frankly, a 9-3 regular season will be bad news. And if that (or worse) comes to fruition, Vigen will find redemption only in a miracle trip to the semifinals or beyond.Haha. Name one person who thinks Cats were great team last season.
8-4. Wow, that is really showing some confidence in your team. Laughable.
