My observation:
Less than four weeks before Fall Camp, and the trolls are out in force. It's not even State Fair time. Fourth of July is barely behind us. Two months of high temps await.
I had hoped for more peace and reasoning at this point, but the Pollyanna in me gets kicked in the gut, yet again. This, despite banning Growler, a-again. Stifling dissent just makes eGriz a different color of BN.

You know I love you, but man, this is a wild take. These back and forth have been in pretty good fun with people joking. The tone of the board since Third was banned has been wildly better. There is really nobody screaming personal ad hominems, even people arguing have done it pretty respectfully and with facts.

There really hasn't even been any anti-griz trolling from the cat fans in here, and has been some good back and forth about where the teams stand going in.

I have been thinking the tone has been absolutely great.

Tommy won’t be running as much and qb2 assuming it is Reed looked solid and Vigen has even said he can do stuff that Tommy and Chambers couldn’t do (air it out). Hell I’d go on a limb and say that Reed at qb could help the offense as it would become a little more dynamic

Sounds like you’re saying your backups are better than your starters.
Is that like a mantra for you guys? We’ve been hearing it a lot lately from bubz.
Top 3 msdui mantras:
1) our backups are better than our starters;
2) dick jokes are the best jokes; and
3) we’re preseason national champs

I think an early season loss could hurt playoff implications especially if the momentum never gets turned around, very theoretical though, but not every team magically switches a qb and it changes their whole offense.

Would anything you just posted apply to the bubcatz? Or only The Griz?
Why do you think your backup QB will magically make the offense “more dynamic”?
Do you ever read your posts? Or think critically about them before hitting “post reply”?

Plenty possible to be a good team without a talented qb. Heck the bobcats have had an NFL linebacker and running back at qb and done pretty well.

Heck the bubcatz had an NFL QB on their team during some of that span but ran him off

He threw under 50% at MSU… like no offense to him but he really struggled and it seemed like he didn’t work in our offense. I will be surprised if he sees a snap in the league.

So your backup had to drop down to Division 2 to learn how to play QB because you have an offense that was tailored to one specific running QB and you gave up developing anybody else (except your your next backup who can really throw it)? And then when he did, he did it well enough to get a better opportunity in the league than your backup QB who only got a camp invite? Also makes sense why that new QB coach lasted 2 months.

I guess I really am starting to understand why the bubz think their backups are better than their starters, but will never understand bubz logic(not even Freud could). Can you imagine when it becomes there’s just so much talent, wait 3 years for our third-stringers to show you how it’s done anywhere other than Bozeman? Great recruiting mantra there.

Are you telling us choach, the caveman who consistently played a LB and RB at the position, was better at developing the position?

Sir, you trolled people with takes like "we should schedule NAIA teams so we can play a backup QB" and "We should start 3 QBs and rotate." I tried engaging in real dialogue, and you kinda just trolled a little and preferred a back and forth with them. After that, neither of them are giving you serious responses. They both do lots of great posting. CDA's sarcasm may not be as funny to everyone as it is to some of us, but he has been on here for an awfully long time and has had plenty of good football points made.

You also oddly claimed that Vidlak was CDA's guy last year, but you just joined the board in January. When he asked when he did that, you just said "it should be obvious."

If you want serious discussion, start with serious discussion. If you want to mess with people to be funny and have fun, then you will probably get the same lack of seriousness in return. I get that you didn't want to actually have a discussion, so I've just let you be, but its weird to come in like you did and then criticize others for not contributing positively.

He probably is. The worst thing that could have happened to their QB room was Tommy taking them to the natty his freshman year and turning out to be the kind of leader that people want to follow, and a cult hero in their fan base. He probably isn't nearly as good of a passer as the guy behind him. But benching him or moving him to the slot would cause a fucking riot.
