He can lift a ton of weight. He's small at 5'8", 155-165 lbs. Could be a slot or maybe a corner at the FCS level. Overall, I think he is a potential PWO candidate if he has a healthy, productive senior season.
 
Been watching Liedle for several years. With him playing his junior year for the first 3 games, they beat teams on an average of 20 points. Unfortunately he got hurt and the Blue Devils didn't win another game. He is that talented and has that much of an impact on the team. He also started on varsity his sophomore year, which was the first year the Blue Devils made it to the playoffs in almost 10 years. Great kid, fun to watch, and would be a beast for the Griz!
 
Joe and Ryan (two of the Top 10 in the state in my opinion) in attendance at the Spring Game and UM's Junior Day today. Close to (or over) 100 Montana kids usually attend Junior Day at UM and MSU each year. Joe is a RB/LB/S and Ryan is a TE.

Nees is a smaller back built like Lane Sumner but he doesn't quite have the wheels. He's NAIA in my opinion but still talented with the ball in his hands. Grant is a tough player who plays defensive line with a lot of passion. But he would have to take the walk-on route to a FCS school. I don't really have an opinion on kickers/punters but Brian's got a good leg. I see him as a punter. Luke is solid but will be buried under a deep group of in-state receivers this fall who will get offers over him. Remember, a ton of in-state kids go to MSU and UM junior days.

He is in the 11.9 range for the 100M dash. Would not be a corner. Slot receiver or safety at the FCS level. I've seen him play many times over the past two years and it would be hard to find a more competitive football player in the state. Despite his size, the kid is afraid of no one on the football field.

You guys had some good things to say about the latest commit. Wanted to bump for others who missed this.
 
I think you guys have Dewaters way too low on these lists. My son has played with/against him in several sports over the years, and he has to be one of the 10 best pure athletes in the state. His dad told me that he battled an ankle injury most of this past year, so he may not have had the stats that he could have had if healthy. Be interesting to see how the Spartans compete this year.

He is a 2020 recruit. Going to be a junior next year but definitely a really good football player.

Top 50 updated with my 2nd Edition.

I'll also have short thoughts on each recruit in my Top 50. I don't see any Jesse Sims, Gabe Sulser or Troy Andersen level talents in this class but plenty of good football players to develop. Will be plenty of in-state battles on the partial/PWO kids.
 
Sidney's Carter Hughes will not be playing football in college. He is fielding scholarship offers as a track and field athlete and will take one of them, possibly in the FBS.

You are confusing Carter with his older brother Garrison. Garrison is the pole vaulter and will be a Nebraska Cornhusker this fall after graduating from Sidney last month. Carter will be a high school senior this fall and play offensive line for the Eagles. He competes in Track and Field as a heavy thrower and plans to accept one of many scholarship offers he already has with more likely to come.
