When the people that shares the information ask you
to not say anything as the player respectably asks for time to communicate with many involved until they personally announce it publicly - I’ll respect that and wait.

Gordon is a great get at a position of need at safety. Huge pickup for Bobby and staff!

100% get and respect that, but why the need to post something on here when you can’t give out any information anyway?

I get where you are coming from, I generally try not to do that too, but it just comes from a place of excitement when you do it. Much like saying to your wife "I can't wait for you to see what I got you for Christmas!"

People aren't trying to act cool and hang things over peoples' heads, they just get excited and I'm sure the thought process is much more just "This is awesome, holy cow! What great news! I really want to share it, but I can't give it away.... I'll just tell someone there is awesome news coming!"

Same reason people make Facebook posts like "hey, I can't say it officially until the paperwork is finished, but I have an exciting new job opportunity and I can't wait to share it with you guys soon!"

Its just people being happy and excited and wanting to share that joy, because humans generally share our best and worst feelings, and our moments of joy, excitement, sadness, and heartbreak. Just my two cents.
 
I wonder what happened to Johan Silver. He still has his Griz commitment post pinned at the top of his Twitter.

I do not know for certain. I am guessing he is a walk-on and will be announced in the fall if he stays with the team.
