No, you are wrong and have proven by your numerous comments that just because you are a person of color, you obviously have no understanding how a good many black people feel about the N word. I shared these last time and I’ll share em again. This is how black people feel about white people using the N word.

Alabama, you (or maybe it was Everett) said the N would was racist. I said it wasn't racist; it depended on the context in which it was used. You then said some/many blacks use the N word at times, and provided your citations. You proved my point. You also jumped all over me, for what, I don't know. This is what I said when you jumped me: "I don't agree that the word is racist. Lots of people use it without being racist."

Do you even know what you think, or what you are talking about? I know a thousand times more about racism than you do.

You're so full of it amd you don't even realize it.

You prove you don’t know what you’re talking about again. To know that you know a 1000 times more then me would mean you have to know everything I know and you don’t. Now your just talking out your ass cus you know I’m right.

I suppose you didn’t click on a single link I provided so you can maintain your ignorance on how black people feel about white people saying the N word. You may know something about racism from tge perspective of a Native American, but you are clearly clueless on black peoples perspective of what’s not acceptable.

When you say it depends on the context for the word to be racist, you’re only partially right. It depends more on the skin color of who’s saying it and even more on how they say it. By that I mean ending it with an er or an a. If a white person says it ending it with an er, they are most definitely saying it in a racist manner. I’ve known 100’s of black people that say it with an a and they are definitely not being racist, plus 99.9% of the time they are saying it to other black people. A white person can very rarely say it with an a towards other black people but they had damn well better have permission from their black friends to say it. For someone who claims to know so much about racism, you should at least know that.

Either admit your wrong or just quit commenting cus you clearly have no idea what your talking about.

I base my 1,000 comment on how little you know, not how much I know. Yes, that's what context means. I have known everything you just said for 50 years.

🤣🤣Reading is fundamental and apparently a Dartmouth education does not provide that. You did not even fully comprehend my 1st paragraph and then probably didn’t even read the rest. You’re continuing to prove how little you know with each comment. EG’s right, hopefully no past, present, or future African American Griz read any of your comments on this thread and put 2 and 2 together and realize who you are. 2 and 2 is 4 in case they didn’t teach that to you either at Dartmouth.

I just pray no recruits read his posts.

When someone is playing the Devils Advocate the way he is, I like to remind how wrong he is. He knows it even if he won’t publicly admit. I know he knows it.

I have not played devil's advocate with my posts on Crews.

How would anyone (i.e. you) misinterpret and make so many (dumb) posts directed at this statement of mine?

"I don't agree that the word is racist. Lots of people use it without being racist."

Because your statement is 100% wrong. The way Crews said it is 100% racist. You already said you knew that when you said you knew everything I posted for over 50 years. Only someone who either was ignorant or playing the Devils Advocate would argue against that. Maybe I’m giving you too much credit.

Did Crews say anything? If so, what did he say?

You’re right Kem. There’s no telling what he says. We only know what he took the time to post on a publicly viewable message. I’d be willing to bet he’d probably said it several times in casual speaking. Most people message the way the talk. I know the only times I may use a word I don’t normally use, it’s to make a special point. Maybe that’s what he was doing when he took the time to type out the racist term he posted.

Look, I get that he was a young dumb kid and we all make mistakes. For people like you and PR and whoever else to defend it like it was ok though is ridiculous and part of the reason that racism may never go away in this country. Apparently, atleast by eGriz ratio standards, that’s very few of us that think racism should be completely unacceptable.

Great post.

I’m astounded — and more than a little embarrassed — that in the 21st century there are functioning adults in this nation who are defending the use of that horribly racist word under any condition.

It just proves how little we’ve evolved under the surface. Very discouraging for humanity.

If a white person uses the n word, regardless of context, it’s racist. End of story

Your right it is, but it also racist when black people say it, natives say it, etc. I have a feeling your part of that woke crowd mob that thinks the rules apply to thee but not me.

So if I'm getting this right from hoopsfan, who is partially native? Is it okay to call people prairie n-word?

I don't think it is.

The crowd like Everett, that want to burn this kid to the ground for a word, are exactly what is wrong with this world. If he is a true racist it will come out, but he needs a second chance for sure then you can make that judgement. It’s such a shame that in todays world, words are taking more seriously than actual crimes and actions. I feel bad for the younger generation because they are screwed and people like Everett and the rest of the liberal woke crowd are killing the country one dumbass policy after another. Idiots
