Both Ms. Davies and AlphaGriz were way out of line. But the impression that AlphaGriz's actions were slightly less douchey than Ms. Davies' doesn't mean that he's not a douchebag. I didn't say it was a competition. But ONE party is getting a gigantic PASS, while the other party is getting flamesprayed and threatened with banishment. Surely even you can see the difference?
Of course I can see the difference. Once again, I'll say I don't condone Lisa Davies actions. And for clarity's sake I suppose I need to add that I don't think she deserves to be given a pass on this - and I haven't indicated that at all. But neither of these things are the point I've been arguing, either. The point I've been arguing is that getting angry at her, calling her names, and publicly ridiculing and discrediting her isn't going to suddenly (or even eventually) turn the tide of public opinion in our favor. Surely even you can understand that?
