any word on possible $ increase for season tix?

Does a wild bear crap in the woods?

With this home schedule they better consider lowering prices if they expect to sell out half of them. The only one me and my season tix holders will pay top dollar for is against cats, the rest will be sold if need be.

It's the same 8 teams we play every fucking year, with a few exceptions now that we have an unbalanced schedule. Not sure what the big deal is.....other than if we moved up we might be playing Wyoming, Idaho, Colorado State, Utah State, Air Force Academy and Nevada. But I thought Griz Nation was FINE with who our opponents were and nobody wanted to move up?

Weak home schedule... Hopefully a night game too

That is a shi**y home schedule. May not be making it to 3 of them next season, definitely not wasting time or money on the trip for Central Wash, even though I believe they almost upset the Griz a few years back.

Anyone looking for 5 seats for some bad overpriced games like homecoming???

I only made it down to 2 games last year (+UND), App State and the play-off game. I am going to try to arrange my work schedule to get down a few more times this year (my goal is five live whether in Missoula or ND or WYO). I have really enjoyed sitting in the NEZ but if you've got good seats available I might be interested in a ticket or two.

So I take it the NDSU/UM game on ESPN is a no-go?

Yeah, they blew that chance a couple weeks ago.

I like the schedule. I'll be at those home games.

-Wyoming L
-Central Washington W
-South Dakota W
-North Dakota State L (new coaching staff and large loss of seniors helps our chances but NDSU will be the three time defending champs when we go into the Fargo Dome... They have as much depth as any team in the nation so I wouldn't get to excited...)
-Northern Colorado W
-North Dakota W (big time receiver core walked...new coach...yikes)
-UC Davis W
-Cal Poly W or L(CP D won't handle us in '14. Montana rolls)
-Sacramento State W or L(glad we get them at home)
-Eastern Washington W or L(we can't do any worse on D than this years game... I'm expecting our more experienced secondary to have a better performance and our O to be every bit as good as EWU in '14)
-Southern Utah W (new coaching staff on the D side of the ball...)
-Montana State W (lose pretty much everyone big off a 7-5 team...)

-7 in the book wins
-5 tough games

I think we will win 2 or 3 of our 5 tough games

I'll predict;
10-2 with a seed
Or
9-3 with a playoff berth

Thanks for posting this, I reckon it is a really good analysis. I don't know who Sac St. and Poly lose. Good hypothetical breakdown.

The Big Sky didn't do the Griz any favors with that road schedule this year. Other interesting thing about this sched is moving the NDSU game. I wonder if the Bison wanted that or Montana and the Bison agreed. Anyway, like others said, the Griz "will play somebody" ALOT this season.

Here's a look at what 2015 has so far.

Sept. 5 vs North Dakota State
Sept. 12 Open
Sept. 19 Open
Sept. 26 vs NAU
Oct. 3 @ UCD
Oct. 10 vs Weber State
Oct. 17 Open
Oct. 24 vs North Dakota
Oct. 31 @ Portland State
Nov. 7 @ Idaho State
Nov. 15 vs Eastern Washington
Nov. 22 @ Montana State

I think we may have to return the Liberty game in 2015, no?

I did not think there was a return game with Liberty. Also, isn't the first leg with McNeese in 15?

My bad, McNeese is 16 and 17

This can't be correct…I was under the impression that all UND games would be in Grand Forks until the year 3154...

Pretty much agree. Here's how I see the matchups:

@ Wy - big underdogs = L
CWU - big favorites = W
USD - little better than a toss up = ?
@ NDSU - underdogs = L
UNC - big favorites = W
@ UND - big favorites = W
Open - might not lose this one
UCD - big favorites = W
@ CPU - toss up = ?
Sac State - little better than a toss up = ?
@ EWU - underdogs = L
@ SUU - little better than a toss up = ?
MSU - favorites = W

So that would be 5 should-be wins, 3 likely losses, and 4 toss ups. Splitting the toss ups, that would be a record of 7-5 and likely out of the playoffs. I actually think the Griz only drop 1 of the 4 toss ups, though (upset by South Dakota or SUU because of schedule position).

I believe the Griz will be better in 2014 than this year. I think they will play more united, more as a team and not as much individualism. I think we beat Wyoming! I also think we beat NDSU next year... Eastern W. will be the biggest threat for us, all though, after a big win at Wyoming, a possible let down with Central Wash coming in and a scare from them...we will re-focus and win that game in the latter minutes. 2014 is looking very bright in my opinion! It's been many years since I have felt this optomistic about an upcoming season.

1Griz-fan, yeah, you know how it is, Montana has COMPLETE CONTROL over their Big Sky schedule. Boycotting Big Sky home games will REALLY SHOW em' And BTW, I'm pretty certain if the UM can draw over 25,000 for freakin Oklahoma Panhandle State, they'll be just fine for back-to-back home games against Central and South Dakota in September. But please, bookmark this and remember to PM when your ticks go up for sale. I know plenty of people who will take them off your hands for that almighty TOP DOLLA :thumb:

My biggest complaint is the drop down game. I understand the Griz athletic department has a tough time getting FCS schools to come here since there are not many West teams but why a drop down every season.

Who said anything about boycotting Big Sky games, I just make it up to roughly half and pick the games I think will be most competitive and worth the price of admission and not many look to be that great to me. I am sure some of the lower tier teams will give the Griz a run for their money next season. South Dakota pretty much beat the Griz in everything but the final score so they will be a tough matchup and may be one I will travel for.

Also, I realize how the conference scheduling works, it's the nonconference schedule and price of tix the Griz do have control over. Feel free to spend $60 per seat for Northern Colorado.

Griz Nation ladies and gentlemen.

Sorry, but not all of us are willing to travel down and spend $200+++ (homecoming for 5 tix equals about $300 alone) per weekend visit when most likely we can watch on TV, especially for the bottom feeders of the conference and FCS along with drop downs. It is not just about the money of tix, gas, hotel, and food but also some of us work on weekends so my group tries to make it to one home game per month.

And my opinion doesn't represent all of Griz Nation, I am just one Griz fan even though the others with our season tix feel the same way.

There is a return Liberty game. 2015.

The only thing bad about playing a drop down like Central Washington is that absolutely nothing good can come from it. If they beat us, we are like MSU. If we squeak by, it hurts us badly if we're on the playoff bubble. If we win decisively, we gain nothing.

Other than that, it could be an entertaining game.

CWU isn't quite the DII power it once was. Went 7-4 this season with a third-place finish in the GNAC and no playoffs. Went 7-4 and missed the playoffs in 2012 and went 4-7 in 2011. I believe the 2009 season was the last time they made it to the DII playoffs. Next season they will also be breaking in a new head coach. If that game isn't a blowout, I'll be stunned.

They also had an all world QB the year they almost upset the Griz.

Other than the fact that the second- and third-team members get into some games for some needed experience.

True. Where is Mike Reilly today? He looked like Dan Marino against the Griz.
