You have just over a year to prepare...

Truth be told, I've always liked Montana fans. I had some great times when the Griz came to Moscow. I think the schools and students are similar (except you fuk sheep). Having said that, I like a good exchange of smack, so you fukkers should use this season to stretch out your O-rings because we're going in dry.

Well, keep practicing on you sisters and in a year, when you try it up here, let us know how it goes for you. We won't be as easy as your sisters are.

Idaho State is a bigger threat...maybe College of Idaho.

It really comes down to this, "The Lion does not concern himself with the opinions of the sheep".

Don't be absurd, I don't think of you as sheep. I think of you as OUR sheep. Big difference...

I can't wait for the rivalry to continue even with your reduced scholarships. Some of the most physical games I watched as a kid was between the Vandals and MSU in the 60s. UM did better the last few years.

My friends in other parts of the country still refer to you as You da Ho. Should be a lot of fun especially if a bunch of bikes come back and forth on Highway 12.
I hope you mean motorcycles. Those asshats on bikes riding 8 miles an hour down the middle of the highway almost got me killed a couple of times.

Suck state, the same team UM beat 68-7 last year

We'll see if Ida. can get past SS. The Bobcats would probably clobber Ida. this year. Ha.

Congrats to Idaho, for sneaking by SS 28-6. Racking up 15 first downs and 356 yards of total offense. And converting 2 of 11 3d downs. Ya, Idaho looks like a powerhouse this year.

I love the renewal of this rivalry, in no small part due to the fact that PR will not let up on Idaho, at all, ever. I'd bet reds to russets that we see some really good stuff out of PR in the coming years when a dirt root wanders onto eGriz. Just sayin'.

When the University of Idaho returns to FCS football they will run into a few snags right away that will set the program back for years and years. The Idaho football program will lose 22 scholarships upon returning to the FCS immediately. The University of Montana dropped 4 scholarships for 3 years and had problems adjusting (especially in-state recruiting). I'm not even sure how Idaho will handle this reduction as they are the first NCAA institution to make the move back to FCS. One other snag will be the coaching staff salaries. Paul Petrino currently makes $417,104 a year to coach football at the University of Idaho. Beau Baldwin made $217,000 Tim Walsh (Cal Poly) made $205,000 and our very own coach Bob Stitt had a base salary of $175,000 in 2015. Idaho will be paying more than double what everyone else is paying for a coaching staff in the Big Sky Conference.....when the contracts are up they will have to hire a new staff or ask the current staff to take a 50% hit in salary! It will be multiple years before Idaho recovers from this move. I don't think the fan base could get any smaller so at least they have that going for em.

Man, those are some good points. Plus, it's not like Idaho has a history of making good moves with big decisions.

And it's worth pointing out that, despite the scholarship reductions, our staff still hasn't finish with a losing record. When things start up again in 2018 and 2019, we will be in a much better position than the Vandals.

Altitude was supposed to have the game last night, but didn't air it. Wonder why?

Just a hunch, but I'm guessing because a right-minded program director took a look and said, "Sac State-Idaho!?!? Fuuuck no. Where's that tape of the old 'Maude' reruns?"

If I remember correctly, Maude had a surprisingly low 40 time.

Good memory, Ursa. She did indeed. However as we all know, she more than made up for that with her tenacity in the weight room. No one - and I mean NOONE- outworked Maude.
