Difference between good and great is the ability to run the ball down the opponents throat to close out a game.

For the first time in a while, we look to maybe have a group that can get there though, which is a good place to be in game 2

You have to give some credit to SD's deffense. I think the Griz had to work for what they got on offense.
 
Game ball goes to the punter. Holy hell. He pinned the yotes deep all game and completely flipped the field at the end when it was needed most.

You have to give some credit to SD's deffense. I think the Griz had to work for what they got on offense.

I said all week, I thought their secondary was exceptional, and they had a very good LB or 2. Their d-line is their problem - way to inconsistent...

But, credit to the Griz offense - balanced today. 2 turnovers...ugh.

Most lackadaisical game I’ve seen the Griz play in ages. That game shouldnt’ have been close. More unforced errors than they’ve made in a long time. LOTS of stuff to clean up before conference play starts.

Credit it the offense? They self destructed damned near every time the got into the red zone. They play that way against good competition and the score won’t be so favorable.

What happened to: "We'll find out about the Griz with South Dakota, a much stronger opponent" ? That's a damn solid team ... and the Griz handled them pretty well. Not worrying about picky details, UM was clearly the better team. For me, the only disappointment was the late score that broke up the shutout.

I wouldn’t say we’re bitching. You think Hauck will be singing our praises? Anybody who watched the game knows we are a damned good team, but they also know we have many things to work on, and I’m sure haick will be saying so in the post game presser. It’s a good place to be at 2-0. We’re good but can be much much better. Go Griz!!!

No doubt some things that need to be cleaned up/worked on, but if this is a typical Bobby team, they'll get better and better as the season goes on. The talent is definitely there.
