Would you rather beat Monmouth?

Okay -- so would you rather beat Monmouth 42-24 or App State 30 - 6?

Careful now. We have one of those games in a few weeks.

Yep, MONTANA has one of those coming up. However the m cats have TWO this season, because they also have the mighty mesa team coming up.

The m cats ducking out of their NDSU commitment sure looks pretty smart for their weak schedule (after the Bison defeated the Big 12 Champion) now doesn't it?

Nothing like padding your schedule with the more than usual one patsie to give yourself a false sense of superiorority.

I know it's not what you were going for, but just looking at this post made me remember that only one team in the world can rightly put MONTANA on its jerseys.

I think we need to look at it as one game at a time but I think EWU may be the biggest challenge. I think EWU bitch slaps MSU. It will be a shoot out since it appears neither team has much for defense.

This! Griz get EWU at home. Huge advantage and from what they did to Oregon State, any advantage is a good one. To not have to play on that hellish red field this year - priceless.

I can't count how many cat fans have texted me and said that App isn't a good team. Two of them said Monmouth would beat em.

Of course these are the same kitty fans who predicted the Griz would lose by 25 to App.

Tools.

I think that the App State win is without a doubt the better win. That being said, fortunately for both the Cats and the Griz, each win counts towards playoff eligibility. Fortunately for all of us non-football experts on the board, we can rely on astute Griz fans to establish their superiority after viewing ONE (1) game played by each squad.

I do not count myself as predicting the Griz would be bad this year. You're an idiot if you thought the Griz would suck with Jordy back at the helm. Last night clearly proved this. But there is no way it proved that the Griz are better than the Cats or that the Cats are better than the Griz. However, I am happy to step aside and let the dick pumping continue on. Enjoy the circle jerk, boys.

Ditto. They looked pretty good last night and I was one of the ones predicting App would upset the griz. Time will tell how good App is this year, but honestly they just looked flat, and confused most of the night. I'm staying with my prediction of an 8-4 year for the Griz, playoffs. Losses to MSU, EWU, Cal Poly, and one more out of NAU, Sac, or UND.

I hate dick pumping. Both teams won and handily (handily - get it. God I am hilarious, just ask me). Kudos to both programs and hopefully both are undefeated come November. Man - just imagine all the dick pumping that this season would hold if both teams are undefeated coming into Griz-Cat? Our QB is the best ever, ya but your line is small, yes, but we are quick and you are slow, etc. etc. etc. one can only dream.

I'm not sure what it is, but I bet that I don't like it either.

I agree, it would be awesome. Both fan bases will probably be insufferable. The loss will hurt particularly bad in that scenario and the win would feel that much better. But, alas, the Cats could still lose the rest of their games so I don't want to jinx it. There's a lot of football left to be played.

Indeed. Many games left for both teams and premature dick pumping is just unintelligent at this point. The BSC is going to be a tough gauntlet to run this year. See you in November. :)

The team that just tanked OPS 75-0 has a Sagrin rating about like Monmouth. I hate to say it but scheduling that game was a Bobcat Move. Please don't play JJ, Tripp, Van or Canada much in that one coach. Even a blister wouldn't be worth it. The third string ought to be able to hang 100 on em.

I'm not getting into this debate. Congrats to each team for taking care of the team on your schedule with a W. That is all one can ask for.

I'm not a huge fan of that game either, but like I said a long time ago, we're playing the exact same number of FCS teams that we played last year when we had a full FCS schedule.

If you want to be mad at scheduling, be mad that we have to go back to UND again this year. That's basically the reason we're stuck playing OPSU. Well that and because we have to go to USD.

Not mad really. It just seems like an annoyance. And we do have a very tough BSC schedule ahead. It will be nice to beat UND in front of their own fans (you can bank on that). I am glad we have EWU here, mainly because the WAGRIZ west has become such an eyesore. They have the goods obviously. CalPoly is weird and I never feel comfortable with them but at home we will be ok. At Sac is tough. At Bozo, barring the injury bug over the season, should be a great game. I will predict here a Griz win however.
