And when they lose to Idaho next week it was from “griz hangover”. This and the “other teams Super Bowl” are easily two of my favorite egriz sayings.

Yeah, that was the other one that immediately jumped to my mind as well. That was a team that went to Nooga that needed a last second FG to beat an 0-10 ISU team. So this shit happens. But today was...rough.
You are so right!! This team has NOT gotten better every week. In fact, they have pretty much done nothing since beating Western Illinois. And the offensive playbook is offensive, no matter who is playing quarterback. I am not terribly hopeful for the next two road games, much less the Cat game. I do think it is a coaching issue, and I wonder what they will/can do about it.putter said:What is worrisome to me is this team has not gotten better every week. I understand there have been injuries but something seems off. 2 lineman quit, 12 penalties and loss of composure, Sammy seems disinterested at times, and teams getting home every week without a lot of blitzing. Montana cant get pressure without blitzing. These last few games were supposed to be tuneups before the Cats and the way it is going, they will be battles, which does not bode well for the MSU game and (if we win) a second round road game in the playoffs.

Yeah, it's not really a good oxymoron example. I'm betting there is a better word ... but I just couldn't think of one.EverettGriz said:Note, I didn’t say the win was bad. What I said, it seems to me, is no more an oxymoron than rating best wins. It’s clear to me there are absolutely degrees of wins and losses. And if that’s true, there would have to be, necessarily, a best and worst of each.IdaGriz01 said:Oxymoron: A figure of speech in which apparently contradictory terms appear in conjunction.

Look, it's clearly a lame excuse, but to ignore that it's a real phenomenon doesn't make sense either. Teams DO play better in WaGriz than the do in, say, greeley.

Team wasn't prepared to play, that's a coaching problem. Said it about Stitt. Say the same about Bob.
We're four years into this Hauck deal. I think it really hurts a team to throw out the playbooks after every few years. We did that from Pflugrad through now and it hurts this team badly.
That said, we need to look at how quickly other teams have turned things around. Four years seems like enough. There should be changes being made by Bobby esp if he loses to the cats who are not only under a new coach, but a coach new to being a head coach.
