Stitt made a few adjustments to the recruiting when he came on board. I think it's fair to assume he told Brandom that he doesn't really fit the new offense very well. On the other hand, an excellent receiving TE with size and wheels like Sims would be a great fit for the new offense. He would likely be listed on the roster as a WR.
Brandom is a great pick up for MSU and a good one to lose for UM because he doesn't fit the new offense. His scholly will go to somebody that can better fit the WR position. I know for a fact that current fullbacks and tight ends on the Griz roster are being assigned to new positions.
In other words, we didn't want him (even though he decommitted)...
In other words, we wanted him under Delaney and he would have been an excellent player for that offense, however, not wanted so much under Stitt. Stitt has limited scholarships to make an impact with his new offense and he wants more receivers. Woody was a solid commit until having a discussion with the new coach. Then he decommitted. It's pretty easy to connect the dots. He should have a great career for MSU.
