this board is going to be monumental this week. i thought the armchair lawyers were entertaining for this last year but i haven't encountered anything like i read on this board yesterday. it's unfortunate it is such a serious matter because i predict this board will be more entertaining this next week than ever before.

was never aware how many attorneys and psychologists were members of this board. great insite and revelations... :thumb:

This is a forum board. 99% of us are not experts at football or law. But the point of this board is still to come on and discuss issues. None of what we say matters in the outcome of a football game or in this trial. Not sure what the problem with that is?

i never said there was a problem. i said it's going to be very entertaining. and it is. i find it funny to read the comments by people stating their opinion with 100% certainty. it's funny. i have my opinions too but i'd sound like an idiot if i treated this opinion as fact and told everyone else why they were an idiot for disagreeing.

i've said countless times that what you described is exactly why i love this board. it's a riot. so no problem at all... :?

Let's see: She dated Brandon Dotson...she dreamed about TJ....and she fantasized about JJ....yep. No issues there.

ILTC, I normally agree with you. Bit I think you're being more than a little hypocritical on this issue.

In fact, the only thing many of us have said definitively on the case is that we just don't know what happened (well, that and the fact that there are a large number of cat fans claiming they have no interest in the case, yet they post 50 times a day, openly rooting for a conviction).

Because self fulfilling dreams are so common or what. Fact is that dreams have almost zero effect on the conscience mind.

Not so sure about that..just last night I had dream that I got a chance to oil and massage the cute coffee lady (I refuse to use the B word) I see every day..it was our first dream date, so I did not try to push it further..damned if I didn't have an extra pep in my step when I woke up..to prove my point more, when I went in to get my coffee from her, her entire demeanor seemed to change as well! I guess it could have been my erection that caused it? Time will tell..

I think I need more sleep..

the fact that she admitted to having a dream about t.j. works in her favor. she's admitting to lots of things that she doesn't have to admit to and that makes her story about the night in question more believeable. she didn't give the defense a chance to make a liar out of her, which would be her doom if they did. she's smart and she did well for herself on the stand. had she not done those things, the defense would've came out of the day with a big lead. she certainly didn't come off as someone that would make this up.

Has the accuser been cross examined yet? I would reserve judgement on how good she performed on the stand until after
the defense gets a chance to question her.
well at least you're original. a poster who not only doesn't know what he's talking about, but also hasn't paid one bit of attention to this trial. uhh, yes, the accuser has been cross examined. at the time i posted that about 3/4ths of the cross was completed. hello? mcfly! anybody in there?

Her poor taste in men is NOT the issue here or maybe it is......

So, those who are paying attention to the trial....do you think you are responding and asking the same questions as those on the jury are?

Its tough because we are not getting the whole story from twitter, even though we are getting most of it. Also we can not see their physical reactions.

She sent texts describing the dream. That's how it came up in court. How could she not admit it?

I read some tweets about this today, was wonder the relevance of this but found it fascinating that she said she had a nightmare about being raped by Trumaine Johnson. This seems to be very odd, maybe this chick has a rape fantasy or something, but what would make this matter in court?

Just the defense trying to impeach the womans character and muddy the water

other than that it is not relevent

It's relevant because it seems to contradict other testimony from her (she said several times that she could never even imagine being raped).

I seriously doubt the jury is questioning if we will stick with the read option offense if JJ is able to play this fall.

Sorry Putter, it was a good question.

no worries at all EG. but i don't think i am being hypocritical at all. I have not said one way or another what i think about this case. and i don't have a problem with people chiming in on a message board. dizzle was right on the money with that.

what i DO find entertaining is those posters that feel like they KNOW what happened on this night. they read twitter for a couple hours and come away saying there is "no way" that this woman was raped. i not one time said this is the majority of the board doing this. what i said was despite the terrible subject matter...this board will be absolute gold this next week because of posters like these, and as you pointed out cat fans coming here to stir the pot.

if we are really being honest i can tell you exactly how i think this will play out. in regards to this board...the verdict the jury comes to makes no difference. if jj is found innocent there will still be those convinced he got away with rape. and idiot cat fans five years down the road will still be calling um rape u and bashing jj just like they bash jimmy wilson today.

if he is found guilty there will still be those that think this innocent guy had his life ruined by a crazy scorned chick. her life will still be ruined because even if she really was raped, some will refuse to believe it. and idiot cat fans five years down the road will still be bringing up the former griz qb sent to prison for rape.

here's all i'm looking for in this shitty trial. if jj raped this girl i want him in prison. if he didn't, i don't want him falsely convicted and his life ruined because of some lying woman. by the same tolken, if this woman was raped, it shouldn't matter who she dated, how many guys she slept with, what her dreams were, or anything else. if she said no and he still went ahead i want justice to be served. but if she made all this up then i hope she gets hers. if someone is so dishonest they can make up something as serious as this knowing it can ruin lives....that is as bad as rape in itself.

but i'll patiently wait for the jury to decide these matters rather than listening to people on message boards saying they KNOW jj didn't rape this woman or they KNOW for certain this woman was raped. i really don't see how my stance on this is hypocritical but i respect your opinion and am not offended in the least. :thumb:

just read through the last few pages of the trial thread. tell me i'm wrong about this board being more entertaining than it has ever been.

some of the posts on that thread are damn near magical they are so asinine!
