Willy Pflug will be a GRIZ!

this phlewg guy sounds like he might be the next drew miller. it appears he's short and slow, but a throws a fantastic spiral and is a great qb.

i always rank miller as the second best griz qb i've seen, behind... ah yat.

And how long is it until signing day? Does Gunnar Brekke ring a bell?

A statement that can't be ignored though, two very real possibilities here;

1. With a presumed (possible?) new coach hire Willy will be free to de-commit and change schools with no penalty.

2. What if he explodes his senior season and the Mountain West or Pac 12 come knocking on his door?

Obviously I hope like heck he's here this time next year and getting ready for a huge Griz career, in the meanwhile all we can do it wait.

From the article crunchgriz referred to: "UCLA, Boise State, Missouri, Cal, Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Dartmouth, Wyoming, UNLV, Fordham, BYU, an TCU are all in on this guys and sending a lot of mail."

Let's hope he stays healthy and really wants to be a GRIZ!!!

C'mon Brint. You're a Sugarcoater. It's no time to be a realist about this guy's situation. BTW, he doesn't have to de-commit. He not an official recruit until he signs his National Letter of Intent. A verbal is meaningless.....

I am going to spend the time between now and his signing day dreaming that he will wear Maroon and Silver.

Any body have a time machine? ;)

with the pflug signing I'm starting to get nervous about this class...the coaches are signing outstanding football players and the pflug signing is the epitome.....the old saying "if it sounds to good to be true" is why I have the nerves jumping....we need to stay close to these guys in a big way...with our limited scholarships, the coaches are making the best out of a challenging situation....maybe all those years m.d. as lubucks recruiter at c.su. really means something and is paying huge dividends,.....go griz !

Better to be worried about keeping recruits than to be worried who we are recruiting because there is no information. This is an unbelievable early list of high school recruits. Meanwhile, it's pretty quiet on the 2015 high school recruiting front east of the divide.

Where are all the geniuses that should be telling us he is too small and too slow to play D1 football?

Because he cold be the next Johnny football of the FCS. :thumb:

And in a few years, when he gets his degree from UM, he can appropriately be called a "Pflug-rad". So, you see, we still have one of those around the program.

Awesome, here is to hoping he stays committed to his verbal commitment. WELCOME to GRIZ NATION Willy Pflug and family!!!! Damn right our fans are terrific, wild, great, and even cynical. You will be playing for the best fan base in college football.

I just watched his video. WOW!!! The kid can make all the throws, terrific pocket presence, footwork, and vision. How is he slow? He is not as fast as JJ. He is not slow though. This kid has BCS skill set. He is a steal for any FCS school. :thumb:

watching the drills, i like the way he moves and keeps a eye on the target.....i don't know what his speed is, but if you play smart and make the right moves at the right time it is not always about speed. savvy...........is not taught.....it is an instinct....the little i have seen of this guy.....i like his instinct and focus.
good luck this year willy.....continue to put up those numbers and we will be talking little about size and speed.

Season Stats: 185-259 71.4%, 29tds pass, 6tds run, 2436 yds pass, 401 yds rush, 2,837 total yds,

Don't be a bunch of nancies. Of course Willy is a Griz! Congrats, Mr. Pflug! You will cherish playing in front of 25,000-30,000 loyal fans in Washington-Grizzly Stadium on Saturdays. There is simply nothing else like it, and the best is yet to come. Welcome!
