That's a great home game, hope the folks get out and watch.
I'd have to disagree with you about the RPI being more "scientific" then the Sagarin rankings. The Sagarin rankings are based entirely on mathematical algorithms, although the algorithms are not public.Grizfan-24 said:1. The Big Sky Sagarin ranking is a bit higher so far this year than it has been in the past few years.
Why? Because we don't have a cellar team this year. Northern Colorado (0-12) is going to kill us next year. They are getting ESPN's bad press, they have resided in the "Bottom 10" all year.
I was looking at the Sagarin Rankings, which are not as scientific as the RPI, and the first time in a few years we don't have a team in the 300's.

They return 4 starters from a team that went to the sweet 16 last year.
Almost beat a very good Wisconsin team last night @ Wisconsin.
Only loses are to a good Mephis team, Wisconsin, and what appears to be a really good Tenn. Tech team.
Read up some on them before you go proclaiming Santa Claus Clara the toughest team on our non conference schedule.
