Will Stitt find a new home?

Stitt will be given much better offers than a lot of the haters believe he deserves. He'd make a good OC at a FBS school. He could also make a good HC at a different program as well.

Man, we have some keyboard warriors here. The thing I don't get is why people actually seem to hate Stitt. I'll be first in line to say that it wasn't exactly the best fit. Could it have worked out? Sure, but circumstances aren't exactly allowing of that. But Jesus Christ. You'd think the man kicked your puppy and f***[*] your mothers based on the shit in this thread. The man is still human. He didn't kill Montana football, for crying out loud.

My hope is he ends up as an OC of some G5 school out east, like ECU or UCF, because you better believe that there's FCS schools out there who'd be more than willing to wait 4-5 years with Stitt as HC, and there'll be hell to pay then.
lol bitter, bitter. Who is it that you've identified that hates Stitt? Hating the man and hating the results of his work are way two different things, man.

FACT

The style of offense is a disaster. Why you ask? Because of all the championship it’s won. (Notice how championship is singular and not plural)

I don’t hate Stitt as a coach. That ship sailed and hit it’s final iceberg in Bozeman.
Bob was slow to adapt to the level of competition in the BSC. Man to man D from NDSU BG had a career day. CP playing zone BG completes more passes to defense than his own recievers. BG had slow delivery and Bob gives no extra blockers. BG gets injured. Bob eventually plays TEs...too late. TG takes blame for first year failures and is replaced by Bob’s guy. Bob’s guy gets schooled by TG two years in a row. Just a few of Bob’s failures as head coach. Win loss record over three years was not up to standard expected by his boss...end of story. I still like Stitt and some of the things he did. He was given an opportunity to succeed and fell short of his expectations and the university’s expectations, doesn’t make him a bad coach or a bad person. Woulda, coulda, shoulda...unfortunately didn’t.

He strikes me as a guy that wants to stay out west in smaller communities.
i just don't see him moving to Pittsburgh, and that big city back east environment. IF Hauck is named as HC, and if, as rumored, he brings Timm Rosenbach, as his OC - then I think you see Stitt applying at Adams State in Alamosa, CO. He's familiar with the league, the recruiting areas, and has mentioned a couple of times - how much he enjoys CO. If he goes assistant route, maybe with Sumlin wherever he ends up, or at Nebraska.

Saw someone suggest in another thread the recently fired Montana head coach might be worth a look for our soon-to-be vacant OC spot. I did a little research. This guy to me, is exactly what we need. We are never going to be able to be a “line it up and pound you” football team, and that is perfect for this guy. He has no desire to do that. He seems like a really great offensive mind who isn’t afraid to think outside the box and be innovative. He was canned from Montana despite having a year in year out explosive offense. If we pair him with Boom and T-Rob the sky could be the limit. I am on board with this guy. The only questions to me with him are
1. Can Muschamp make his peace with being an aggressive fast paced, pass first team?
2. How will he recruit?
I would love to hear JC and Tonys take on this guy.

Pittsburgh is actually turning into a pretty nice city...they've done a better job than any of the old rust belt cities re-inventing its future.
