Will Stitt find a new home?

I wish he would be Bobby's Offensive Coordinator.
I think Bobby will want to score more than 2 TDs against MSU.

This is probably true especially since he wasn't able to do that himself 3 out of the 7 years he was here...

2003: 2 TDs, 20 total points
2005: 1 TD, 6 total points
2006: 1 TD, 13 total points

oh geez, don't be pointing out to kem that he is out to lunch. he won't listen, because... he's out to lunch.

The offense and defense cost us the cat game last year. This year it was the defense. Those who can't see our offense was getting better with Coaches own recruits in the skill positions (on offense) must be blind.

The offense was better and more consistent this season, but the offense was part of the recent Cat loss. 2 TD's and 2 turnovers. The defense forced 5 three and outs and 1 5 and out, including at key times.

Even Bobby will want to score more than 2 TD's in modern day football. The game has changed. There are many more high powered offenses. We'll see how long it takes for Bobby to get closer to a dominant D. Again, in the modern age, not many D's can stop offenses like they did a decade or two ago. Source: Jason Semore (remember he was the guy a lot of you thought would immediately be way better than TG).

The head coach, emphasis on head coach, not just offensive coordinator - made the decision that the all-or-nothing, group hug & rip @ the ball hoping-for-fumbles defense was fine with him, because he would just outscore them.

Woulda, coulda, shoulda & we’ve never seen anything like that before meant that this was as good as it was going to get. If you think this was simply about beating state ag, you weren’t paying attention.

We did score 23, but only 2 touchdowns...so... usually you have to score more points than the other team to win. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Understand the concept of points and winning. But I've seen Kem post a few times that we only scored 2 touchdowns in the game. A reasonable person could infer that we scored only 14 points rather than 23.

The issue at hand is whether Stitt's offense can operate at the FCS level. Here the stats don't lie: we finished in the top 1/3 of the Big Sky in scoring offense and total offense. So if Stitt doesn't belong at the FCS level, than neither do 2/3 of other Big Sky offensive coordinators...

Look, I'm excited to see what Bobby 2.0 brings. It's unlikely to replicate the insane level of success he had before, but I hope I'm wrong. Unlike some of the Stitt bashers, I won't be on here calling for his head after every loss.

Take that Haslam. Bastard.

Were I advising Stitt, feel any way and place blame anywhere you want, but I wouldn’t share it with the world. Perspective employers take note of these kinds of things.

Kinda depends on what he wants right now. If he really wants to figure out how to thrive as a HC at the D1 level, I’d say he should take a OC or QB coach position at a bigger school so that he can get exposed to how a real defense is ran. That was by far his biggest downfall.

Like it or not though, he did some good things here in Missoula, assembled some talented players and put together a good offense. He could take a FCS or D2 HC position and have success there.

Is that what he’s doing here?

Didn't Kingsbury just beat UT and save his job? Bobs gotta see the difference here right?

I’m confused by this as well. Why does this suggest he’s giving the finger to Kent with his tweet? Coaching is a small fraternity. Stitt likely knows many on the staff at TT. I don’t know that there’s a hidden message heee.

Coach on the hot seat, “AD” coach will return. Was there any similarity to what was on Kent’s plate here? I’m confused about that. Stitt doesn’t tweet to hear himself think. There’s a point of view being expressed here.

Yeah, that a 6-6 coach just got retained, while a 7-4 coach got let go.

Guess if Stit had gone 6-5 and beat the ‘scats he’d have been safe.
