You think UM is in the NFL? You blitz whomever from wherever. Blitzing a corner is not injury high risk. How can you know so little about football?

Not sure how he will fit in.

Blitzing pulls a corner out of space and into traffic near the box. Which means that there is a higher potential for collisions with big offensive linemen and tight ends, crack blocks, getting cut blocked off the edge and having awkward collisions in the backfield. That is your opinion that there is not an increased injury risk. Vance Joseph and many other defensive coaches would disagree with you.

I think UM is closer to little Griz than the NFL and given that this defense, probably led the country in giving up big plays, I’m guessing that stunting anyone is a risk.

It is up to the coaching staff depending on the personnel whether to blitz your boundary side coverage corner or your field side strong corner. The pros of each have already been laid out. There is not a right or wrong answer in definite terms. It depends on the personnel.

I was going based on how much the underclassmen played. He probably got the most reps of the guys returning at Safety. Not sure if he has the speed and ability to be a guy though from what I saw. I rewatched Jelani Davis high school film and it was impressive (and high level competition at Mater Dei), not sure where he is in the mix for next season. If they stay with the 3-3-5 then I could see a transfer safety come in as well. Orlandi and the Beaners are the three most talented guys IMO.

Then, why were you arguing that Loud should never blitz? Did you notice that Loud lined up in a different manner after he returned? Always or mostly on the left side of the field.

I never argued that Loud should have never blitzed. I said I do not have enough info to make that judgement but I do have enough info to know that Hike could be correct and it shouldn’t just be shut down without looking into it.

You could tell me where you think I am incorrect in my higher level football posts. I was hoping you would be able to debate high level football being a lawyer who played college football. Instead you deflect with irrelevant insults so I am left to think your understanding of the game is surface level.

What is your opinion on why he lined up always or mostly on the left side? I did not notice that thank you for pointing it out. Do you think this was related to the scheme or so he would have more favorable angles for tackling or pressing that minimized contact on his left shoulder versus if he lined up on the right side?
