Why the Griz Should Win (3 Phrases or less)

Love the optimism, but I'd change the title of the thread to Why the Griz Could Win. I'm pretty sure the Griz are underdogs in this one. Is that disloyal or just realistic?? :?:

But really...Is Dante going to take away the running game? Will they care even try and just pass, as that's the perceived weakness of the defense? Dante, unfortunately, statistically may not be a factor as far as tackles go, but he can still change he game.
Defense MUST get pressure on the QB.
ST play...blocked punt, KO return yardage/field position/scores.

Maier does so well under pressure it is actually quite impressive. Even getting pressure the secondary is going to have to really step up this week. Maier gets all the attention since Doss left but UCD receiving corps are really good.

Like most people over 40, I've been burned by false hope and optimism in my life. We all remember that youthful, idealistic view of love and marriage. Over time, Cupid and his arrow disappear and dating becomes more clinical - check the resume, Google-search all candidates, consider pros and cons of potential partners' viewpoints and histories....

Sure, it's logical. Makes sense to become more "realistic" about things that excite us when we are young.

No, Sr. Grizizen, you're not being disloyal to the Griz by being realistic. But you ARE being disloyal to that youthful, excited, Griz-magic-believing fan still inside of all of us. Why not keep him alive? He's fun! And he's often right!

My theory: approach love, cooking and Grizzly Football with wreckless abandon!

Throw logic and caution to the wind. KNOW that we are going to win!!

This is the first season in a while that I feel like every week there is a chance for the Griz to win. This team doesn't quit. They are not the most dominant program or anything but damn they are fun to watch.
