Why do you make up stuff like this and tell lies like that? Total BS, as you well know. I sent no email to any parent regarding Stitt, or any coach for that matter. Didn't even contact the athletic department about coach selection. While I thought Hauck was the obvious choice, I was perfectly fine with Stitt being hired (and have never said anything otherwise to anyone). Stitt has terrific potential and seems to be doing all the right things. I know a lot about Stitt, as one of my best friends played with Stitt and was his roommate. Had a good talk with Stitt earlier this week. Anyone is welcome to ask Stitt about me.

For the love of GOD!!!!! Just once I want you to be like ya...I don't know much about that person...just once..please!

Sorry, but I've learned over time that comments like that seem to irritate people like you, so I now go out of my way to make them on occasion. More people than Alpha know how to yank chains.

Lol don't tell me hes starting rub off on you! This world doesn't make sense anymore!

Yes, I now have a half dozen or so people posting through my account (I should change the password sometime), 8 or 10 accounts, and am an NDSU fan. Particularly good posts are the ones made by me; the others are made by the half dozen others who use my account. I'm trying to learn how to lie, diss parents, hate EWU, and brag about how much I drink and drinking and driving, but those things are not coming easily for me.

I'm completely on the Stitt bandwagon, but then again, I, like Hammer would support anybody hired to coach the Griz until they didn't deserve that support, and thus far, and that hasn't happened yet.

However, I will continue to point this out. MANY OF YOU, who harp against the good-ole-boy coaching tree are about as hypocritical as they come. Because the same people who post that jargin also love Robin Pflugrad, as did I. YET, he was as much a part of the good-ole-boy Griz coaching tree as anyone else who's stalked the Grizzly sidelines in the last 20 years. It's funny how that works with some fans. Hate the good-ole-boy netwrok when it relates to Hauck and Delaney and even Dennehy. Those three have been roasted over the coals on this site for years, and one of the knocks against them is the "good-ole-boy" coaching tree. Then, miraculously, the "good-ole-boy" tree somehow doesn't apply to Glenn and Pflu who are most revered on here. Hypocritical much?
Good post Hav. Pflugrad is THE poster boy for good-ole-boy hires. Pflugrad actually said 'we are putting the band back together' when they promoted him and he hired his staff. I don't possibly know how you could make a more nostalgic or 'good-ole-boy' hire than that. And lest we forget, his credentials were he had just been fired from Oregon for undisclosed reasons, and was a wide receiver coach at UM under Bobby Hauck, then as head coach he proceeded to dismantle every benchmark of Griz football excellence from the previous 20 years (Big Sky title streak, playoff streak, Never losing to Sac State, home loss and .500 record against the 'Cats, etc). AND O'Day picked him over Dave Doreen?

I try not to get into these conversations about how great Pflugrad was for UM because there is little reason to trample on a guy when he is down, but I just don't understand how people can demean Delaney due to a love of Pflugrad. Just because a guy is fun to party with doesn't make him a great football coach.

Don't think Doeren would have ever accepted the job. Was making about $300,000, I think, and was offered an extra $100,000 to stay at UW. The 10-person committee wasn't pushing for him. I'm sure he would have been terrific, but he was already too big of a guy to take the UM job and wouldn't have been around long had he come. My impression was that it may have been sort of a mutual decision.

Stitt will be the greatest coach in school history, including all other sports. With Hauck, Pflugrad and O'Day and the riff-raft they drug in gone and a foundation of responsible administrators at the helm we'll attain heights never before seen. Bad win-at-all-costs fans like Playerrep, 75, Raider, will fall by the wayside and the Griz will also become known for its classy, level-headed fan base.

I don't see PR leaving as a GRIZ fan, regardless of who the coach is. Despite what some think of him here. I think he is damn loyal to GRIZ athletics, just at times maybe a little too close for comfort in some eyes. As for 75 and Raider, why tag them? Hell for that matter, why do fans label other fans bad fans? We all are GRIZ fans. The difference being how we each support the GRIZ. :thumb:

Because I called her out for what she is, and her only rebuttal is to try and compare me to PR….with whom I am nothing like. It's weak.
Yeah, you're not like PR. PR has never unsolicitedly started PMing me then when he didn't like my responses, which were fair and to the point, had the audacity to get mad and tell me to stop PMing him. But that's exactly what Raider did. Now he's unsolicitedly PMing me again. So who's weak? Because it appears comparing you to PR was a compliment.

Yawning....just another mid pre season blog trouncing one another. Interesting situation to stay the hell away from. Of course it makes for good hate speech....some cute and some innovative never the less bitch, fight and hate all normal for this time of year.

Soon the players will practice under coach Stitt and we will get on with football. Stitt could turn out to be the greatest coach we ever had, I tend to think he will be great for us!

So do I. Unfortunately some posters have to look for alternative meanings to what others say. Sad really that it's come to this.

Rehashing MD's performance is pointless. He's gone. Now we have Stitt. Accept the fact. The job is his for the next three years. He could make Haslam look a football genius. Or, is it Royce will look like a footaball genius? Will Stitt kick off twice in a game? Stay tuned.

Was having lunch yesterday in Missoula with some GSA people and a couple lawyers as always the conversation was riviting but the one thing everyone laughed about was how insanely pissed off a certain "player rep" was that Stitt got hired. 8-)

Oh the stories I heard about all the backdoor shenanigans, conspiracies with ODay and Hauck it was totally believable.......yet sad.

My favorite story was the one involving a certain "player rep" and an email he sent a parent to try and drum up support for Hauck. It totally backfired because the parent was sane and knew it was a good thing Stitt was getting looked at. He showed us the email on his cell phone, everyone laughed and brought up the comment made a few weeks ago about how a certain "player rep" was instrumental in being a conduit of information from UM to Stitt, a shadey go between if you know what I mean and I KNOW that you do. The only thing funnier than that comment was that somebody made it his signature!!!!  Couldnt be further from the truth.

Anyway, THANKS DAD for the stories and picking up the hefty lunch tab. :thumb:

P.S. I got next

This is Griz football related and will be moved or deleted in a few minutes............but feel free to post your comments in riveting threads about Oregon football or a make believe list.

Your welcome son.........................

Plot twist........AG1 and PR are best friends in real life and they have dinner with each other every Sunday. They just play enemies on here. They're the egriz Odd Couple.

Why was MD the "right guy at the right time"? (Sick of hearing that)

There are literally hundreds of high school coaches that could have done what he did AT MONTANA.

Qualifications to win at UM:
Moral compass
Good media presence
Ability to run a business
Show up everyday

It has been said for years but winning at UM in the Big Sky Conference (LOL) is not that hard, you can be above .500 just by playing SUU, Portland St, Sac St, Weber St, Idaho St, Northern Colorado and MSU.

Say what you want but anyone that enforces rules could have cleaned up the program with the marginal success that MD had.

However would anyone other than MD have been able to keep the current players on the roster and keep all of the recruits from that year on the team?

Would rising star players from the 2012 roster have stayed on the team or transferred out? Players like Jordan Tripp, Brock Coyle, JP Kanongata'a, Zach Wagenmann, Trevor Poole, Kjelby Oiland, John Schmaing, Danny Kistler, Will Poehls, Ellis Henderson, Alex Bienemann, and Tonga Takai to grab a few. And NO I'm not saying they would have but presumably some would be gone if Mick did not take over.

Also there's the 2012 class that was kept entirely intact by Mick's return. While many of these guys are just rising to the occasion now what would this team be like if some of these guys backed out on their commitment due to the coaching change?

http://www.gogriz.com/sports/m-footbl/spec-rel/012912aaf.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Most notably:

- Joey Counts
- Tyrone Holmes
- Caleb Kidder
- Zach Peevey
- McCauley Todd
- Ben Weyer
- Devon Dietrich
- Ellis Henderson

All of these guys are starters for this team save Counts who is in line for a big role in the offense this year.

Take out a handful of returning players and a handful of the 2012 class and this team's return to some success in 2013 & 2014 - as well as their hopes for 2015 are probably much different.

None of those guys have any talent, so I'm not sure why you're wasting your breath. :?

haha - yup - just 3/5's of our starting OL, 3/4's of this year's starting D-line, our best playmaker WR, and the "fan favorite" RB on the board here. Minimal impact group.

"any one of 500 coaches could have won those Super Bowls"
- Jerry Jones, owner of the Dallas Cowboys.

When he put the screen ID up for bid, little did we know... "Jeruh", is that you posing as AG1?

Say what you want about MD and some of his in-game decision making, but he does have a great deal of football knowledge. That is fact.

Not true douchenozzle

- Joey Counts
- Zach Peevey
- Ellis Henderson

Have some talent the others really need to start "stepping up" on the field. Until then they are place holders.

Mick was the right guy at the right time. He steered the ship through some big icebergs, kept the kids out of trouble (to the degree a coach can do that) and maintained the credibility of the program.

I think Stitt will take the offense to the next level. Keeping Ty on the defensive side was a great management decision, and now I think we'll have an offense that will score enough points to win some games that slipped away the past few years. I like up-tempo offenses. Robin's team was fun to watch, and Stitt's offense may be even more entertaining.

So than you, Mick, for your loyal service. Time to let Stitt be Stitt.

Although I agree with the points you made, AWF, I'm going to have to give you a C- for only using two maritime references. You are much better than this.
