Why not just forfeit?

ipersonally think that all of the hype from outside sources, doesn't mean squat, the GRIZ will go to Fargo to win, not to just show up. GO GRIZ KICK SOME A??

To the OP, I get where you're going with this, and I don't disagree, though I don't the Griz will win. I think they CAN win, I just don;t think they will.

But, as I've said many times, the point of this thread is completely misguided. It wouldn't matter if EVERY SINGLE member of Griz Nation, from Missoula to Australia and all points in between, posted in a thread predicting the Griz are going to lose, it has absolutely ZERO bearing on the outcome of Saturday's game. ZERO, NONE, NADA. As far as I know, there isn't one single Egriz poster who is playing Saturday, or coaching, or is even one of the officials. So NO MATTER how much we all like to think we have something to do with the Griz, we have no effect on how they'll do against NDSU. NONE.

As long as the Griz players and coaches believe they can win, and I know for a fact they do, that's good enough for me. Hence, the whole idea of forfeiting the game is stupid.

Thankfully the football team doesn't have as high a percentage of pusses that eGriz does.

I don't think they have any girls on the team, so your statement seems correct.

In 2008, the Griz traveled to #1 JMU in the semifinals and nobody gave the Griz a chance. The Griz won 35-27.

In 2009, Appalachian State brought Armanti Edwards and Co. to Missoula in the semifinals and nobody gave the Griz a chance. The Griz won 24-17.

In 2011, the Griz traveled to #1 Montana State and nobody gave the Griz a chance. The Griz won 36-10.

In 3 days, the Griz travel to #1 NDSU and nobody is giving the Griz a chance... Let's prove them wrong! #GoGriz #WeAreMT

This is a winnable game. NDSU is the class of the division, but we are a good team too. This is a huge game #4 against #1. Most fans in this situation would be rallying and supporting their team. For whatever reason the sad sacks on here do nothing but trash our own team and the coaching staff. Most of it isn't even constructive criticism or knowledgeable criticism.

This weekend's game is what NCAA football is all about. If you are a real football fan and Montana fan you have got to be excited. Win or lose it will be a great game and I'm sure our guys are putting in a ton of work this week to compete and pull off the upset.

I agree. I think the Griz can win. Obviously, a tough game, and on the road, but I know no one on the team, including players and coaches, are thinking about anything other than a win.

I said pusses, not referring to women.

Shouldn't it be pussies then? Is that the correct term for a bunch of pusses in a group? We may need CDA to weigh in on this.

Pussies.

My understanding is the the Griz considered forfeiting, but then the weather forecast showed some rain coming to the area this weekend. Knowing how important the rain is to the turnip crop, and getting it out of the ground, Griz now feel they can compete, given the diminished crowd size and distraction to the NDSU players and coaches concerned about the turnip harvest.

Nobody seems to be giving the Griz a chance, but I like where we are at coming into this game. I'm not sure where the 24 point spread is coming from...I see this as a defensive battle with relatively little scoring on both sides(like 31-17). I like our chances of the defense keeping things close enough long enough for the offense to make a move at the end of the game. I don't see a win necessarily, but I think the Griz will show up and make it a better game than many people think, and possibly give themselves a chance to win it. NDSU is a very disciplined team, but I think win streaks weigh heavy on the shoulders of 20 year old football players.

One thing I'm confident about is that Wagenmann will come out with his hair on fire!

I used to have confidence that we would win every game, but this coaching staff has changed that the last few years. Now I have confidence that we will be out coached every game and the players will just have to overcome that handicap.

That said we are totally going to win this game, no doubt at all! :thumb:
