Why Isn't Pease Being Given More Attention Again?

Can confirm, he's interested and is one of the guys who I believe is planned for a 2nd interview. Now if this damned fog could clear out of the valley...

Planes have been landing there today....why not his?

Because his was supposed to be here yesterday. Not sure if/when it's been rescheduled or if he flew somewhere close and rented a car or what.

If this is true then the other interviews with Hauck and Stitt are just formalities and Brent will be our guy. If he wants the job there is no doubt in my mind that he will be hired. It's a no brainer given the list of candidates.

A former Griz player and someone who also got to know Pease and some of his players when he was at Boise State recently told me that Pease actually interviewed very well in 2009/10 when Pflugrad was hired. Pease's challenge at that point was he did not have a coaching staff assembled where Pflu did. Pflu showing he was more organized and prepared for the job at that time was one of the reasons he got the leg-up on Pease.

I would assume Pease is more prepared this time around.

Is my top choice no doubt. Is a very intense person and therefore rubs people the wrong way. That said, if you do your job, work hard, you will be successful.

I will also say the few people who I've heard from that talked to players he coached when at Boise or currently at UW have had good things to say about him. I know he left with quite the reputation here in the 90's but word is he's matured quite a bit.

How long do you think Pease would stick around?

He has made his money. He and Paula are ready to come "home". Paula wants to be near family. I think he will stay for a long time if he gets the job.

Who says Pease isn't being considered? Sure sounds like he is.
He will have to answer whether he will stay more than three years--though the length of a coaching contract at UM indicates long tenure isn't a concern for the university. He will have to explain why he would take a major pay cut.
So what. Every candidate has questions to answer. Those aren't really big ones, which probably speaks well for Brent Pease.

Home? Was he from Montana?

..and remember he was our OC in 1995....just sayin...

And he's managed to stay employed as a coach not working at UM longer than any former Griz coach being considered. Apparently that's not very easy.

Were you not aware he's in Texas recruiting for UDUB? Why am I having to do all the investigative research?

I believe he is from Mountain Home, Idaho. Paula ran track for the griz. Money may be less, but I can imagine that Missoula is cheaper than Seattle. Paula's folks still go to all the games. Pretty big in the Alumni association. They still have kids school age I think as well.

Does it bother anyone that his offense while at Florida was complete dog shit?

Was it that much better this year without him or the year before without him? Head coach in over his head and threw Pease under the bus.
