Who still thinks TM is our best QB option?

.......jesus still with the "learn to throw BS"..............you dont get 20 years into a QB career and learn to throw. He will never be accurate down field.

Can't teach accuracy, ask Jamarcus Russell, Tebow, any LSU qb.
Jarrett Lee was and is a damn good QB, Less Myles is just a dipsh1t, which is why his "miracle" qb is sitting at home this year and the backup that should have been playing but was on the bench is in the NFL.

I didn't realize he was only a soph. I though we should stick with TM and live through his growing pains at first. But if we have SSH for to more years I say give him the ball

We traded a 3rd rate QB for a 2nd rate one and still most of the QBs we played against this year were better than the Hyphenated One.
He's only a sophomore... most of them have been juniors or seniors and have started for a year or two. I thought he looked pretty damn good for getting his first REAL shot on the field this season. I WAS disappointed that we went almost exclusively to the pass. Hyphenated can run the option. He DOESNT have to gain 20 yards a carry to make that offense (which I hate) work. Just keep the DE's honest and get 5-10 yards and hit the turf so you don't get your block knocked off. Rosie must have went nuts knowing he had someone with ten extra-yards on his arm over Shiny Bauble.
This....the whole thing.

I felt from the get go that the "spread option" which we don't have the personnel to run should have been scrapped. The offense should have been designed around SSH's ability to throw the ball, don't know much
about AB but if the idea is for him to run the "spread option" then we still don't have the personnel to run it.

This spread was Pflu's orchestrating, Pflu is history (as is the QB he recruited to run it). We need a new offense next year (maybe something that contains more than a long snap formation?), with AB and SSH competing for the right to run it... We should have a wild cat formation that we use on occasion.. run by TMac (maybe also bring him in WR slot sometimes as a threat to hitch it out to). Idk just ideas.

I agree on the Pflugraad part, but really the offense needs to be built around what the OC knows, and what personnel he has. McKinney seems like a good athlete and a great kid, but a true QB he isn't.

I think he is the best we got at the moment. At the end of the game when ND was keying on our backs I think TM ability to run would've been helpful. Not taking anything away from Shay or the game he played. Dropped passes killed us. We aren't good enough to win when we make mistakes. Today we made many and right now we aren't getting better week to week.

I disagree because we haven't seen AB play, give the young guy a shot, he transferred here to try and get some playing time....

McKinney = Kemp? What do you do with him if he doesn't get in the weight room and add some arm strength and accuracy. It's kind of like shooting 3-pointers on the court. You're a lot more accurate if you have the strength to get the ball to the hoop with some touch.

Can't teach accuracy. You either have it or you don't.

Henderson over the middle in the 4th was one... Huge 3rd down play.... Might have made a real difference....?

Yup, forgot about that one. Would have one the game if he had caught that one. What were the others?

Years ago I got to know Don Read and talk to him a bit. He told me what he wanted in a QB was the ability to throw a 15-20 yard sideline fade over the corner and in front of the safety. If he had that guy he would beat you. DD and Brian Ayhat could do this, and do it well. So could Ochs and Drew Miller.

Well that throw usually isn't intercepted if thrown accurately. If you can throw that throw then you can make all the throws to be an above avg qb on college football.

Hardy's catch and fumble was a point killer... as was Oiland's bad snap that lost us 10 yards and forced us to punt when we were inside the 40.
