Sam A. Blitz said:They simplified the offense significantly yesterday. I like Chalich, but the reason he was backup was because Stitt could utilize much more of his offense with Gus.
Luckily for us, the soft part of our schedule is coming up and Chalich will have some time to develop, get more live reps, and prove that he can operate the more complex sets by the time November roles around.
Stitt will be fine.
Thanks guys for not allowing this thread to get prematurely derailed. Good discussion. I think Sam makes a good point. with a new QB, who has even more limited playing time in this offense than the former #1, baby steps probably need to be the rule for a little while. It seems to me that Coach Stitt is reducing the predictability factor by having a lot of different guys touch the ball, which I like. I have high hopes for this offense in the future. For now, I'm satisfied with making progress and finding ways to win.
