Am I permitted to say that I was on the same plane as the Griz today, talked to about half of them, and they seem focused and ready to go? Or is that name-dropping or something that makes some posters on the board feel bad?

That depends. Which half of the team wouldn't talk to you?

But you wouldnt be... We can all whine and cry about how empty the arena is in Reno and yes I am one of them but really would dahlberg arena have 7000 + for NAU and UNC? I highly doubt that. It would probably be just as empty as Reno is now, the only games that would bring any fans to Missoula would be games featuring Montana.

While I do agree that Big Sky champions deserve to host the tournament, games not featuring the host school aren't going to be sell outs. They would be just as empty as the arena has been today.

Nope, would be more than 50 people in Missoula, Ogden or even Billings. Look at attendance for the womens NAIA in Billings. Way better.

Respectfully disagree entirely, WCF. The msu/nodak game would have drawn between 2200 and 2500. Probably not all of those would have stayed for the noco/nau game, but many would have. Tonight's session would have averaged 2000+.

I went to every game in Missoula a few years back, and Dahlberg was always relatively full. Even the least attended game had more people than what the championship game in reNO will have (the actual attendance; not the "holy shit this was an awful idea to host the tournament here, we need to count every person twice and multiply by 3.5 to get the final attendance figures so we don't look like complete morons" bsc attendance count.

They all stood in line to talk to me, but the more athletic guys in the top 8 got there first. Ha. Didn't talk to Moorehead or Krslovich. Mostly Rorie.

To be honest I'd be annoyed with this neutral court crap if Weber, EWU, UI or any other Big Sky team won the regular season title too. These teams deserve to play in front of a crowd not in front of a few dozen people.
