Lets put it this way...........from what I know of JJ he likes competition and would accept the challenge. Your arguement is very stale and if your concerned about how another qb thinks maybe ask Bleskin because he is the one about to have to worry about it.
 
Competition is healthy annd makes everyone better. I am sure Bleskin will now work even harder knowing he has more competion next year. Prukrop will have to do the same.
 
Tanner Bleskin plays for the Cats. I'm not interested in how he feels....I'm not arguing, I was just curious to hear direct quotes from JJ on that subject. Since you know and so many others know him personally, and since you KNOW he's coming back and I'm guessing he isn't, I thought you might be able to offer some direct words from JJ. That's all. Carry on...
 
Right! Anyway we can surmise that when you make a prediction its based on zero merit.....carry on.

I have seen this response from several well respected posters on here. I respect this opinion, but I just don't buy it.

JJ was voted to be expelled based on highly suspect actions of the Dean of Students. At the time the criminal charges were finally filed, JJ's expulsion case was being appealed to the highest level. However, the comments out of Main Hall were that JJ would be allowed to continue in school pending results of the criminal case.

Why do you let somebody continue in school that was voted to be expelled? This just doesn't make any sense other than UM officials/BOR/legal counsel/?? viewed the investigation and process against JJ as highly suspect. As a result, they are saving themselves against legal action by allowing JJ to stay in school pending criminal results with a real trial and unbiased investigation. Worst case, the trial validates UM's process and JJ is gone. Best case, JJ is found innocent and the school can rely on the legal process to keep him in school. Either way, the school is now protected from the original kangaroo court actions.

Assuming JJ is acquitted, I see no reason he won't return to action for the griz if he still wants to.
 
SMH, at least I admit I'm just guessing, and don't claim to KNOW FOR A FACT, than end up with egg on my face...Multiple people claimed they KNEW Trod was going to transfer to MT. One poster claimed the deal was done a month ago even though he hadn't even been released from his schollie at Nevada. That's interesting since Tanner is now a Bobcat.

Anyway, congrats to Trod. I'm sure it will be an exciting time in his life playing college football in his hometown.
 
Why would JJ return after what has happened? Especially with a.different coaching staff and offense..

Actually, he never left, and he played with this coaching staff last spring (as well as many of the coaches during the prior 2 years).

The better question might be, if given the opportunity to play again, why would he not play or leave school?
 
I know for a fact that JJ has told friends of his that he if he is acquitted, he fully intends on QBing for the Griz again. I actually admire that attitude, as I think most in JJ's position would avoid the hassle and aim for a fresh start somewhere else. Now whether or not he is acquitted AND, in addition,whether or not Engstrom has the intestinal fortitude to admit his own haste and allow JJ back upon acquittal are entirely different matters.

Yes, much depends on the case and perhaps how some facts unfold. A later multi-million lawsuit againt UM may have some impact on whether he is allowed to return' I doubt that Engstrom will be the one making the decision on whether he returns. Engstrom made his decision to toss out Johnson early last summer, but he was obviously overruled by someone upstairs, presumably CC. As has been pointed out already tonight, it makes no sense for a university to decide to expel a student, and then allow him to continue in school after he was been charged. To me, this indicates the extreme nervousness of the university or university system about what they may face in the future.

Don't get your hopes up about JJ walking scott free. He may not be convicted of the sexual intercourse without consent but I'll bet dollars to donuts he is convicted of a lesser charge. I doubt he'll do time but he wont walk either.

I'll take this bet. He isn't charged with any lesser charge (so he can't be convicted of one).
 
Happy for Tanner and the Cats. If he is even half the player Shane Collins was, he will be a great player for the Cats. And judging by what I read, he is better than Shane was. Having a player like that on the Cats only makes it that much sweeter when you beat them.

In regards to your post, I believe that Shane Collins has a kid in Bozeman that's supposed to be one hell of a player too. Bozeman's going to have a very good team again next year.
