Where is Roderick tonight??

Doesn't surprise me. Why would he take the risk of sitting on the bench behind JJ for 2 years. Once I saw the comment on playing receiver for a year, and then competing for qb, it made sense that MSU would probably be his choice.

I wish Tanner the best, but will be rooting against him harder now, against the GRIZ. This really sucks, we are losing good recruits because the Cats now being the better the program now. I hope that does not last long though.

Funny, just got a message from my buddy saying, "Sorry man for jumping the gun." Oh well, onto focusing on who we do have, and hoping JJ is found innocent, and we get a transfer still.

Looks like I guessed right, and Raider and Alpha were right along. And I'm sure DM will be very happy to have a receiver of Trod's quality for his senior year Spanky, since that's the position he is playing next season.

Some of you state college insiders, ask DM what he thinks of it...

Why on Earth would DM have a problem with it? The more depth at any position, the better. DM is not a whiner, and does not strike me as someone who cause any problems to any coach or team. DM is all class. Too bad, he too plays for the Cats

I would say DM is pretty happy to have a really good athlete that will play receiver and is a big target!

Tanner is playing WR. I'm sure DM is thrilled.

Interesting that all 3 starting WR's for the cats could be MT kids. Wonder the last time they've been able to say that?

wonder if other people who were pretending to know so much will do the same thing. i just find it funny that a week ago you could ask his own father where he was going and he replied he didn't know but thought he was leaning to msu......yet some people with no ties or knowledge of tanner or his family claimed to know months ago....

everyone likes to act like they are in the know i guess.

Life goes on. Time for more xfr rumors and threads. Will be interesting which ones come to be reality.

“The determining factor is the program is going in the right direction...” -Tanner Roderick

Like it or not Griz fans, this is the line that's being sold to every recruit we are going head to head against the Cats (and most other schools) with. Until we end this perception, we are going to come out on the short end of the stick more often than we like. As much as I would have loved for Roderick to come here, the more I looked at it from his standpoint, why would he? Strong family Bobcat tradition + upwardly mobile Cat FB program + possible NCAA sanctions + the all-around general uncertainty regarding our FB program = a stacked deck in favor of the Cats. The thing that pisses me off most, is that 2 years ago, by most accounts, Pflu had TRod in our pocket (in spite of family tradition) until Nevada swooped in late. Now, we are a program struggling to regain our identity. I hope they prove me wrong this upcoming season, but I have no faith in Gragg and Delaney being capable or righting the ship. Its truly amazing how nearly 3 decades of success can be undone so quickly.

i agree. i have known tanner and his family for some time so needless to say i am very happy. but the way everyone here and on BN were talking about him you would have thought tom brady decided to leave the pats and play for the cats! dude is a hell of a player but man the hype was big with this one. :o

After the UNI game, all I could think was "Holy shit, Pflu is building something amazing".

That seems like decades ago, now.

definitely part of it but family had a lot to do with it too.....

“Montana is a great program and I was interested there, but being around my family and getting a chance to play for the Bobcats like my dad was too much to pass up"

those accounts weren't completely accurate. he was considering um. he was also strongly considering msu and washington state despite what some people claim.

Jon Ellis isn't from MT

why would we care where our WR's are from?
