According to some Cat "insiders" and I use the term insider loosely, Bleskin is never going to be the starter. Many say Dakota Prukop is the third coming of JC in Bozeman.

I'd be surprised if he beats out Bleskin after DM leaves, to be honest.
Why?
He should be starting now and you guys would be a hell of a lot better than you have been. Bleskin wont fold like a cheap wal mart lawn chair in crunch time.

Boy no one's ever heard that analogy before.
And because I've seen him in practice. Just my opinion. And no way Bleskin or Prukop have the elusiveness to get out of the pocket like DM had to this year. We wouldn't have won 2 or 3 of our games without him.

I don't think you would have won a game without him. Mcghee is a great player saying Bleskin or Prukop in the same breath as Mcghee is a joke.

Our qb situation at the moment is a question mark. However, if JJ is able to return, we will be in good shape with Brady as a backup, followed by the young man from Stanford. Frankly, I don't understand why everyone is so excited about Roderick, nor do I know the reasons he wasn't able to make it at Nevada.
As for state college, they have in DM probably the best qb in their history, so why is Ash interested in Roderick? Maybe just to keep Roderick's father happy? DM is a team player and on the surface will support Ash in signing, however, it could very well erode DM's confidence knowing Roderick is in the wings breathing down his neck.

Correction, in your opinion McGhee is a great player.

In reality he is a good player, not great. Great players elevate their team, make plays, over achieve and win big games.

He is a good player.

If Tanner signs in Feb with the Griz, the Griz imediately become national title contenders.

Let's take this to church:

That's what the kid did all year. Had the worst offensive line in our league, 1 decent receiver (Bleskin), and a decent running game not great (Cats couldn't run the ball against an elite defense). Only had 1 loss during the regular season and ran into a pretty good TEAM in Sam Houston St. Take Mcghee off the field and the Cats don't win period. I think he was the best offensive player in our league this year with what he won with. The Cats overachieved IMO and biggest reason why was Mcghee. Tanner Roderick would be sitting the bench in Bozeman next season best bet to play is Missoula.

Yous guys have no idea, do you?

  I think TR should be making his choice based on the team who's fan base can generate the most posts about his potential decision. Wait a minute, there are a lot of Scat fans posting on egriz lately. Would be a close call.

Chronicle reporting roderick is a cat!

Good for Roderick and the Cats. No sour grapes by this fan. I am sure he made the best decision for his circumstance. I personally want to see kids commit to the Griz that are 100% sure they want to be there. Look forward to the next few years and watching the brawl of the wild.

shocking. although i have to admit that this and the other thread about t-rod were great. always get a kick out of people who clearly don't know what they are talking about pretending they do.....

“The determining factor is the program is going in the right direction,” said Roderick, who will play wide receiver his first season in Bozeman. “I wanted to play with a great team and be a part of something and help out wherever I could.”

“They have DeNarius and he is a great, great quarterback,” Roderick said. “I will get to play receiver for a year, help out there, learn the offense as well as I can and then the following year, hopefully get to play quarterback.”

Certainly isn't the winning important playoff games direction

He wanted to get on a team that made it into the playoffs. I don't call a team that had a losing record this year, an interim coach and a NCAA investigation hanging over its head, a team going in the right direction.
