First, congratulations on the 13 seed, and especially your 25 wins! Looks like a fine season.

I don't intend to be disrespectful, but I'm curious to know what you guys think of your seed.

It's looks like you were pleasantly surprised by a 13, if not by the opponent?

In Valpo we were a hair disappointed by our 14 (and not loving Michigan State, either).

Do you guys have a feeling for how you ended up ahead of Davidson, or, for that matter ahead of Valpo?

I don't know anything about your team - but on paper it looks like Davidson and Valpo would probably have the edge.

Any insight into how the selection committee might have put the pieces together? Or, into what feel like your strengths (or Davidson's or Valpo's weaknesses!) that the committee might have recognized?

In any case, best of luck against Syracuse!

Yes. Teams are seeded regionally. So Valpo might be better than Montana, but might also be playing in a stronger region. The committee has a tough job - they don't try to make it even more complicated by ensuring absolute equity across the regions.

Good luck against Michigan State. I hope every Big Ten team loses in the first round. :)
