No question the fans and this board are totally focused on the trial and the potential ramifications. Too many tend to lose perspective, though. First of all, notwistanding my belief that Jordy should be VERY quickly acquitted and the politics of this situation are sleezy, lets remember the real world story that two lives are being permanently changed. Lets allow the system to run its course and then lets speculate on how lives go on, suits get filed and games get won.

After JJ is found not guilty, which appears will be the verdict. The only way this community, University and JJ is going to be able to move on, would be for him to move on to a different city and/or University. Otherwise the outcry from other non-grizzly friendly communities will be that he got off or that he is a rapist (conviction or not), etc. It will help heal the community in a much quicker fashion than him being here for 2 or 3 more years. It will get him away from the insanity of Missoula and the stigma of being accused of being a rapist and it will eliminate the PR nightmare the University will have to deal with.
