When is it going to leak out or get announced that Vigen is departing?

Don’t forget Choate released a similar statement in 2021 only to leave a few weeks later.

Choate took to Twitter to acknowledge his ties to the Boise State job.

"God is good," he wrote. "I’m so thankful for all the love and support I’ve received over the past several weeks. While I’m appreciative to have had the opportunity to engage with Boise State, I’m thankful to be the head coach at Montana State University. #UnfinishedBusiness #GoCatsGo."

"Success leads to opportunities but our success is only beginning," Costello added on Twitter. "I am looking forward to continuing our work with @MSUBobcats_FB and @CoachChoate_MSU. It’s another great day to be a Bobcat! #gocatsgo."

That doesn’t seem to bother Oklahoma State. They told Morris if they make the CFP that they’ll let him finish it out.
Well, it sure bothered Washington State last year enough that the same guy didn't take the job.

They could have also just told Vigen to pound sand, we don't know.

Edit: Also, you're talking about a coach that has his team on the verge of the pinnacle of the sport in the CFP vs. a guy whose team in the FCS playoffs. I don't think these big school ADs give a shit about the FCS playoffs.

Yeah, that's a good point.

The guy clearly is looking for his next job, and if something opens up and he gets the chance, even after this OSU thing, he's probably gonna take it. This really feels like a timing thing, to me.

All this means is he is not going to Oregon State. If another FBS job in the region opens up in the coming weeks expect Vigen to want to talk to them. 2 to look out for that might be opening after the season that Vigen will be interested in are Nevada and Wyoming.

Now what’s Bobby going to do to beat him? Vigen has had his ass the last couple of times and is 3-2 all time. Coulter and Brooks said it best on their reaction podcast: the line play was the difference in this game. Thats the whole ball game between these programs. Lack of beef up from on D (linebackers are not D linemen!!) and inconsistent o line play. Cats were able to rush 4 and cause problems. It’s high time they figured it out.

I wouldn’t touch Nevada with a 30 foot pole. I think he would entertain Wyoming though.

I'd keep an eye on Eck, with CSU and OSU now taken there are a few spots opening up where he may be considered. He played at Wisconsin so I could see him going East easily, if he does New Mexico would probably approach Vigen.

There could be a domino effect from something big we don’t see coming. Jedd Fisch at Washington is being reported as a top candidate for the Florida Gators. If he goes to Florida, Washington could go after a top group of 5 coach in the region whose current job would be very attractive to Eck or Vigen. Something similar could also happen if Kyle Wittingham retires at Utah.

Can you get us some inside information how Bergen is doing on the practice squad with the 49ers? I was hoping they would call him up at some point this season to get a look at his ability. I hope he is healthy and practicing well with the team. Patrick OConnell has waited a long time to get his shot and doing well, I hope Bergen gets the same chance.
Vikings need a returner. Can someone negotiate a trade between the 49ers and the Vikings? **Ahem** **Cough** **Cough** Don'tKick2Bergen

Vigen is so happy and honored to coach the Cats that he applies and interviews for other jobs every year. I hope he’s staying, so that the Griz and Bobby can beat his ass later in the playoffs.
It will be ugly for Bobby in Bozeman again, but UM won't get there.
