Wheeler Harris

...jensen...
...who...

... 8-) ...

You'll change your tune after a few games. How many qb's do we recruit that seem to be great on paper that never see the field? I'm not saying that we don't have a great one on the roster with Wheeler or Sneed but we had a bonified all conference sophomore on the team and they showed him the door.
It is bad no matter how it is sliced and I am not convinced the kid was afraid to compete. This upcoming season scares me to death.

I think we can all agree that Wheeler Harris is the greatest possible name for a quarterback in a passing conference. Irrespective of how he pans out, can you think of a better name? "Gunner Longballs" is contrived. "Wheeler Harris" sounds like a guy with a firm handshake who caught in single-A baseball just for fun.

Watched his hudl, strong arm and he sets his feet well I would picked this guy over Jensen. He’s bigger, more physical and has comparable arm strength. Good pick up three qbs, 4 counting Graves, who desire to play for the griz. That’s just like my opinion man.

I count 5 qbs:
Dalton Sneed
Cam Humphrey
Tanner Wilson
Wheeler Harris
Garrett Graves
I still count 4 good qb pickups by this staff. Tanner Wilson wasn’t a pick up he is a returning veteran. There is a difference. A pick up generally refers to a juco transfer, FBS drop down or a player that hasn’t played here yet but rather was “picked up” from some other program and transfered in. Tanner on the other hand would only be considered a picked up qb by the Stitt staff and inherited by the current staff, but not picked up. I know it can get really technical. But that’s ok keep posting and supportin the fellas. :thumb:

Seems like the guy has some wheels. I heard his brother Chucker is also a quarterback. Can anybody confirm?

Can't confirm or deny. "Wheeler Harris", though? His name sounds like he could have easily owned the house behind The Sandlot. Dude has seen some sh*t.

Keep things in perspective he is not a Miller/Ochs ...he wasn't very recruited out of high school (a couple lower division schools were interesed, Pueblo and Adams). As for coming from Alabama....they need bodies to run scout teams (there roster is so large 3 of them shared his number....one was even another scout QB). Hard to get top notch QBs to go to Alabama just to be meat squad knowing they have 5 star recruits at your position and you will never see the field.

Maybe he will progress and be an impact player down the road, but compared to an Ochs or Miller resume coming in as a transfer you are talking apples to oranges.

Maybe he knows a few players on the scout team who would be good in the secondary or on the O line? Really hoping to see some CB's drop down. The kid has good size and hopefully is a diamond in the rough, but I am getting nervous about several positions. Then again, there about 30 receivers on the team. Possibly one of them will transition well?

Wow, thanks for the technical explanation. You are truly a brilliant person that isn’t afraid to tell anybody about it. I, for one, appreciate your bloviated ego. Keep on being you and proving every day that’s it’s perfectly fine to be a jerk as long as you’re brilliant!

Don't think anyone compared him to Ochs/Miller, except you. Thanks for your insight.

That's solid work there, and scarily true. Thanks for the laugh

Then why did you say those weren't QBs and we should you "try" Miller and Ochs? SO I "tried" Miller and Ochs like you suggested and laughed out loud....

Yeah, but do you get the difference between a pick up and a returning player?

I merely contrasted Ochs/Miller to Rodamer, furthering the posters comparison of Rodamer and Douglas. Sometimes transfers are great, and sometimes they aren't. It looks like this kid has a big arm, probably improved last year, and will have multiple more years to improve. Thanks again for pointing out that he isn't Ochs or Miller, both of whom were starters at the respective schools, I believe. Ochs almost all the time; Miller on occasion.

Ursus is easily confused. Just leave it at that.
