Cats will play us close and more than likely will win since its at home. Griz have to play a perfect game with no turnovers to have a chance to win this year. Yes the Cats are banged up but they are still better player for player at 9 of the positions on offense and 8 on defense. Griz have a better punter and probably the only team we play this year that we can say we have the better kicker. Should be close but if you are a realist you give the nod to the home team and then be classy after the game so nobody gets hurt.

Are you f***[*] kidding me with this one?

Drop the act…..

Why does my opinion have to be an act?

If you think we have better players than the Cats you are dreaming pal. Other than Kislter and Henderson on offense who else is just better or putting up better numbers than their Cat counterpart? I can't wait to see you list.

On our defense I would take Coyle Bienemann and Tripp the rest are a push.

Why is it so hard for some of you to admit MSU has some talent and is a good team? Now hury up and insult me, call names and tell me I never played the game thats what this board is anyway

We posters say stupid shit like this, they are either A) a complete moron, or B) just trying to stir the pot. I’m guessing you are not that stupid. There isn’t a sane person on either side of the fence that would agree with your comments.

Other than Daly, Flowers and maybe Bethley, I wouldn’t trade a single defensive player for one on the MSU roster. Kidder doesn’t even start (which he should) and I would take him over any interior defensive lineman on their roster. Even if you a really reaching on a few, you could make the argument for 2-3 others. Really reaching.

On the offensive side of the ball, you can call DM/JJ a toss-up for argument sake, and go ahead and give Kirk the node if you’d like. Although I do like Bleskin, they don’t have another skill player that matches up with Henderson or Jones, and I am not even bring Van into the discussion. As bad as our offensive line has played at times, please tell me one starter on their roster that would replace one here.

Yes, MSU has some serious talent and this game will be a battle I’m sure. But, to say 9 out of 11 on offense and 8 out of 11 on defenses is complete stupidity……..or just stirring the pot. There is no possible way you have any level of football acumen whatsoever and actually believe what you just wrote.

What has Kidder done this year to be on your list?
Shaw is better but I already mentioned that.
Goodwin, Oiland and Jones really? Come on man
JJ and DM are a push at best, get back to me when JJ is close to breaking DM's record for wins in the BSC, then we will talk.

The point was we are not head and shoulders over the Cats in talent and all the talking on a message board in the world isn't going to change that.

He's dominated vs SD and sac. Multiple knockdown, he is explosive in the gap . Plus if you wanna say jj is a push then you can't take flowers or Daly. So msu has nobody? Goodwin lead the nation in passes defended before his injury. Jones is a fret mid route rec. Oiland is a stud...watch some film on him. We still would have Coyle and Shaw and Wilson and Canada and van and kistler and Bienemann

Big G,

Nothing personal man. I only said drop the act, because I assumed you could not possibly be that naïve. Bad assumption on my part.

Bottom line, you can argue a few of these either way, but to say 8 out of 11 and 9 out of 11 is complete, moronic nonsense. Even the most irrational, shit talking cat fan would not agree with that.

Carry on.

Thanks, sorry for having my own opinion. If I can go back and amend part of what I posted. I was talking about current players for this weekends game. I excluded Van and Counts because they are injured. If this were straight up players at 100% then I would change my numbers but until then I will stick with what I said because I am not that fair off as it is.

You guys getting bent out of shape over this show what you know about football could almost fill a thimble.

Looks like you mixed up the terms "Griz" and "Cats" in that post.

Call me a dreamer but the cats have been just as inconsistent. Struggled vs d 2. Struggle with weebs, looked terrible vs ewu and horrific vs suu. Not bad teams they lost to but it was ugly ugly losses . Dm playing poor, Johnson hurt, kirk hurt. Honestly griz are getting health back right now, on a win streak , just had a domination game. Msu is reeling have more injuries now. Kinda like is last year. I expect this game to be close for a half. The score won't get crazy but the griz will dominate most the game. I believe this 100%. One team's playing with heart, getting close wins, playing through injures. The other is looking like a disorganized rec football league.

Agreed. Good post. This is where I line up too.

Ditto for me as well. Curious as to just how hurt Kirk and Johnson are. Obviously they'll play and battle hard but if the cats can't run the ball, which I don't expect them to, it could be a long day for them.

There simply must be some kind of a-hole quota for this site. One goes away and another joins -- or maybe they just get a new alias? Unfortunately I don't think that is the case.

Yeah, I literally laughed out loud when I read that. How I see it:

QB - Johnson, even with a healthy McGhee (although I don't think he is)
RB - Van/Canada, even with a healthy Kirk (although I don't think he is)
FB - Griz, assuming Wilson plays
TE - Wash, but I love the way Pierson/Harper play
WR - Henderson/Jones>>>>Bleskin/Roddrick
OL - Wash; if only we graded on potential...
DE - Wags. Any questions?
DT - Bienneman/Takai = Beasts
MLB - Griz
WLB - Griz
SLB - Griz
S - Cats (with Griz coming up fast)
Corner - Edge to Goodwin on one corner, edge to Bobcats on the other corner

In what few positions do you see the Griz having the edge? 8-)

I’d take Daly at DE right now, but yeah, other than that pretty much spot on. MSU does't line up with a traditional fullback, so that is not really fair.

You could be gracious and say QB/RB is a push given what DM and CK have accomplished in their careers statistically. Got to give some love there, but if I was being completely honest there is no way in hell I would take DM over JJ right now. No friggen way.

The intriguing part of this argument is the OL. Man to man, I would take the Griz starters, but they have been so shaky at times it’s hard to say that.
