AJ will get some looks but has to improve his ballhandling a lot for the NBA. His scoring is NBA ready though. Selvig, if he fully recovers from foot problems, has a shot for his passing and versatility, but has a long way to go defensively and on the boards. Selvig though does have Bird like passing skills and instincts, needs work on leadership, and confidence (Selvig had more confidence, and even a swagger at season's end). Bird had out of this world confidence, and believed he was the best. Difference being Bird next to never forced anything, which came with time. Qvale needs to get a nasty take no prisoners attitude on the boards, improved defense, and more offensive game. Him being tall and strong works to his advantage, but I see him going overseas.
As for the young guys, Cherry is the only one we can evaluate at this point. He has NBA quicks, athleticism, and defense. He has the attitude and great penetrating ability. He needs to develop the shooting, especially from the line. Many defensive minded NBA point guards make it without much of a 3 point shot, because of defense and leadership.
Based on other players in the BSC, Cameron Jones and Damian Lillard are getting some NBA attention. I think Lillard is very close to being an NBA combo guard already. I think Cherry is not very far behind these guys, the difference being he is more of defender and less of a shooter, but can score. I feel Autry may fall into this company in the next few years too. Jamar needs to develop more guard skills. He does not have NBA 3/SF size, and my guess is develop more NBA like quicks for the guard position.
These are the guys I have seen enough or heard enough to give even a slight speculation on. Rest of them are too raw or unheard of.
