"I was right behind them when they blew up. Couldn't hear all that was said but I kind of got the gist of it. Hauck went out and laid into him over the penalty. Fife kind of blew him off and then talked back. Hauck said something to the effect of "one more thing and I'm pulling your ass." Fife then said something back and Bobby said "oh you don't want to play!?" They exchanged some more words and Hauck said fuck you and Fife called him a mother fucker. Green came in and forced Fife back towards the bench away from Bobby. Probably about 10 minutes later Fife and Hauck hugged it out for quite a while. Quite a bit of emotion from both of them."

People are trying to minimize the situation. Unless Hauck is going for the Herb Brook’s mentality, yesterday was an absolute disaster. I have been supportive of Hauck at times and critical. Pretty impartial really. I cannot give him a pass for what was caught on television yesterday. Mind boggling that he has coached for so long and cannot control his temper better than that. It was not scripted, planned or strategic. It was an outright loss of control and an act of blatant disrespect for one of his players. Read the body language of both. It tells the tale. Ego, power and lack of coaching discipline on full display. Not a great look. Turned my opinion on him 100%. Who would want their kid subjected to that. If that’s what Hauck is like in public, imagine what goes on behind closed doors. Heard many a tale. Previously dismissed them all. Probably shouldn’t have

I guess you never had Cliff Hysell as a coach...
I once heard that on senior day he said something like, "I'd like to congratulate all my seniors today but I won't because they are all a bunch of pussies." Not sure if it's true but it's been told a few times.

What is it a bad look? Doesn't like a big deal to me, especially if they kissed and made up shortly thereafter and later in the day, like at the press conference.
Yeah, Jack. A coach getting so irate that he yells “**** you” to a player multiple times on the sideline is a bad look. Again, it’s not cursing somebody out because they made a mistake, it’s Hauck making it personal.

For people like you who don't understand the game perhaps, but for those who understand the game and played it, not necessarily a big deal. It depends on what happens after the incident. This one looks like it got worked out quickly. The two talked and hugged. The player continued it the game and did well. The player and coach sat next to each other in the press conference and talked, even whispered to each other. It may turn out that there is now more respect for each other on both sides.
