What I like best about Stitt so far...

I cant remember the last time a grown ass man, sounded so much like a 10 year old girl. This guy keeps driving home the little brother syndrome into that program....and I couldn't be more pleased.

Is that he's already decided that when all is said and done, he's going to be known for a hell of a lot more than the fly sweep. Congratulations Coach, from where I sit you're off to one hell of a start. Don't let your foot off the throttle.

I really enjoyed this tweet.   I would love to see the look on Ash's face. Would probably look a lot like it did at about 3:00 on November 22nd....

Probably something like this?

I really like Ron Ash...I'm just glad he's not our coach.

I would expect a coach of such a terrible defense to wear LUGGS on the sidelines...wtf is that shit?

The Signing Day Press Conference 2015. The acknowledgement that Mick Delaney was responsible for much of the recruiting success. For all the handicaps handed to Mick, in hindsight Mick Delaney did an extraordinary job not only turning the program back on course, but doing it with integrity and class. A walking monument to Montana football history, I hope he hangs around and stays involved somehow.

Stitt is showing a consistent style. He's a quick thinker, has an analytical mind, and all appearances shows that he is really excited about the opportunity that has been made for him at UM. This is a guy who has seen a long-time dream come true, and he is just as excited to be here as everybody on this side of the metaphorical Divide is to have him. When you've got a coach that uses phrases like "mad scientist," you know you've got a live one.

More importantly, he does not talk in broad sport generalities. It's clear he's got a well-defined strategy and he's building this recruiting class around it. He knows exactly what he wants to do, and he knows how to develop the psychological momentum that is part of it. He said all the right things when he first arrived, and today's results are a shot fired across the bow of the Big Sky. The best barometer, Wombat Nation, shows it. They have been badly bloodied out of the gate, and they know it. There's not enough lipstick in Bozeman to hide this one.

Stitt was able to move much faster than was anticipated, and the Wombats not only have the shattering message that they got out-recruited at what they thought was their special, their best strength, that the rest of the entire state of Montana also got the message, in every town and high school, "We Are Montana."

Wow, this was so articulate and describes exactly how I feel about Stitt to the tee. We truely have a special, one of a kind coach that will bring us back to the promised land sooner than later.

I had been dry for 8 months. Upon the news of Stitt being hired I have been drunk every day since. Trying to find Alpha and his Mexican beauty to have a brandy with.

Serious: Stitt was the best hire since Don Air Read and I can't say enough good things about it. I have yet to meet the guy and I really look forward to that, better yet will be to watch his Griz go off the charts and the fun of Saturday football games will be here again. All with a ton of class!

34-7.

The "Changing of the Guard."

The "Power Shift"

"Five of the top five Montana recruits."

Eat some more dirt. Consume some more helium. Squeak louder.

I tipped you a buck! :thumb:

I like the guy. We are in good shape from a leadership standpoint. Baldwin turning us down may be the best thing to ever happen to our program. Smart people win.

.....is that he kept some key coaches for national recruiting/position coaching (Legi, Justin, Ty) and brought in some experienced (Germer) ex Griz players/coaches along with some youth in that category with tons of coaching potential/MT roots for recruiting (Ferriter/Selle), plus he knows he needed some of "his" guys that have been coaching with him to help implement the culture that reflects Stitt's proven systems and reflect "buy in" already established from guys that have seen it work. Whether it meshes and works....time will tell....but personally couldn't be happier with the staff he put together for all these reasons, especially for what the Griz pay their coaches.

He has one of the tougher schedules in the country next year at FCS level....I hope people can keep that in perspective.

Stitt gets it. Love listening to the guy talk. I think his players will too. Love how much credit he gave to Mick Delaney today. Very classy. I think this class proves what many people who have followed Griz football for a long time already knew, Mick Delaney could FLAT OUT RECRUIT!. And from the looks of this first class, so can Bob Stitt.
You're not going to be great at everything. Surround yourself with people that can compliment you so you can work together and then everybody can be successful.
