What happened to Griz Nation?

I travel to quite a few Griz road games, usually a couple of the bigger ones each year. My observation is that traveling to road games takes time and money. Older fans are better suited for the trip, but they are also pretty quiet.
there's usually a few rowdy fans and some player parents who make some noise, but it isn't much.

Makes sense, the senior citizens from North End Zone like to travel and relax at the Griz games. Let's give them some cowbells to take to next game. Lol

on the 10:00 news they showed a Griz fan throwing (something) to the ground as ( Haynes ) ? made the TD catch that was ruled OB.....whoever this is, was a very passionate Griz fan, and I salute you ! ( BuRp) :thumb:

Just got back to our hotel in downtown Spokane after a great night out downtown tonight, and I felt like I needed to vent about Griz fans who attended today's game.

We had two tickets right at the 50 yard line on the visiting side with all of the other Griz fans. Great seats with other Griz fans, and I was stoked to be a part of a rowdy group cheering on the Griz. The only problem was that all the Griz fans in our section, and most of the visiting side full of Griz fans sat with their hands under their asses for most of the game, including on key 3rd downs. Griz fans wouldn't cheer, make noise, or even clap when we were on defense. It was pretty much like that all game. Only about 1/4 of the visiting seats stood up for much of the game and made noise, while everyone else sat. One gal in the 4th yelled at all the people who were sitting and told them to stand up and make some noise. Most everyone stood up, but had their arms folded and stood quietly watching instead of yelling their butts off, especially in such an important point in the game.

Honest question... What happened to Griz Nation? We used to make so much noise as visiting fans, but today was embarrassing. I'm as die-hard as they come, and am one of those guys cheering and yelling even when we're down in a game, and then crank it up a whole other level when we make comebacks like we did today. But i saw very little of that from other Griz fans. I have pride in this school and team whether we win or lose, but it's hard seeing Griz fans not show any pride for the team anymore.
I'm not sure where you were sitting, but we were in Section P and were standing most of the game, in large part because everyone else was standing and the only way to see was to stand. We yelled, we high-fived, we groaned as one. I thought we were pretty good fans.

Section P was great all game. I was over in section 1 up high, and everyone below us sat for much of the game. We did our best in section 1 to get people involved. :thumb:

I also sat in section P, I was the tall scary dude that stood most of the game and was quite loud...I had no idea that Costco whisky was really crown royal... :thumb:
