The athlete conduct code holds athletes to a higher standard than the normal student conduct code. It reads:
"Underage drinking is prohibited at all times. Violations of this policy could result in the suspension from the team, loss of athletics aid or being withheld from participation for a period of time."

Have you "just" thrown that out on bcn the large number of times cats have had underage drinking issues?

I'm not a Bobcat fan, and since JJ has yet to participate in spring practice, I'm guessing the UM is taking this very seriously, on many levels. Unfortunately, our players' behavior the past 2 or 3 years has become an issue that needs to be addressed. Why are you bringing up MSU, who has their own issues, in this thread? It's UM's own Code of Conduct, and if JJ's excuse is that he was drinking, that's going to be an issue, and even worse, it helps destroy his own version of events.

The only part of any of this that I find funny is the fact that when a Missoulian article slants in the favor of a Griz player or the posters agenda, the poster will cite the article as fact. But when a poster does not agree with a different Missoulian article, then the Missoulian is garbage & has a vendetta against the U of M. :roll:

I have noticed your occasional linking of early news from the Missoulian, and wondered whether you were aware of the story because you worked there. I was wondering what your response would be to my post. I was thinking that you would try to avoid a blatant lie if you still worked for the Missoulian--as I don't see you as being dishonest like some of our brethren on egriz. I'll have to think more about your response, as it seems a bit odd.
