Western Kentucky 79 - NAU 58

Yep, I have to agree. Even if NAU hosts the tourney, I have a hard time seeing them winning it. If somebody would play solid defense for 40 minutes and not give them open shots, NAU will struggle to score 60 points.

You always looks for the teams that put together late winning streaks to win conference tournaments. I really think that the next 3 games are huge for the Griz. They've got to add to their momentum for the tourney. A loss this weekend would hurt.

Yeah all 800 of their basketball fans would be crushed to see them lose at home

---warning conspiracy theory ahead---

If you believe in a lot of sports conspiracies wouldn't the Big Sky want UM to host so there is better attendance, and a little bit stronger possibility to send the higher RPI team to the tourneys?

Just a thought, not that it will actually come true (although I wouldn't mind if it did)

This coming from the guy that said he would be surprised NAU wouldn't win more than 2 of the last 6 games. :tounge:

That sentence made absolutely no sense.

Gym Rat predicted NAU would slide on the road, hasn't happened yet, but it will start against Sac and finish in Montana.

Go Griz!!

Pretty sure it did, your an idiot

NAU hasn't done anything to impress me, that's all. I also said they were going to get blasted at WKU. If MSU would have actually shown up last weekend, then I would have a pretty good chance of being right on my prediction. And I actually said that I thought they would lose their last 4 games, but they swapped a win against MSU for a loss against EWU. So I figure I'm even up to this point.

I've seen NAU play and I'm not impressed. Good shooters, but nothing really past that. Not tough on D, not overly athletic or talented. They still have only one game in the BSC where they won by double digits. Remember, if the Griz hadn't been complacent in the 2nd half, they would have won in Flagstaff by 20.

I still say that if the Griz win out, they'll host the tourney. Even if NAU wins at Sacramento - I don't think they are a strong enough team to win the BSC tourney.

You can keep calling me out TG, I'm just giving my opinion based off what I've seen. If you want to start defending the GarbageJacks, then lets start seeing some good reasons why I should think they can win the BSC tourney.

im with ya m.g.r. yes, my cats lost to nau. but that in no way means that they impressed me. actually, the cats have just DEpressed me. anyway, i dont see nau making the dance. i'm not saying they wont hang on and win the big sky, though i wouldn't be surprised to see that in missoula as well, even if they host i just see them losing. not trying to be a homer because it pains me to say that um is my frontrunner, but i wouldn't be shocked to see the cats winning out in regular season, and playing well in the big sky tourney. but i've seen all the big sky teams play this season except sac state, and nau just didn't seem very good.
