Been nothing short of spectacular.

"The performance etched his name in the Montana record books as well. Louie-McGee is now tied for the most career punt return touchdowns of any Grizzly with Marc Mariani ('06-'09) and Levander Seagers ('01-'-04). That 150-yard total is also good enough for the second-most in UM history, passing Tuff Harris' 142-yard total against South Dakota State in 2006, and now sitting behind Mike Rice's all-time mark of 245 against Weber State in 1985."

Watching from all three angles you could see that there were some excellent blocks downfield that made the return for TD possible. Aside from the pure excitement what I might like most is that he runs full speed into the end zone. No coasting or early celebration. He is well across the goal before letting up. Love that intensity!

I love hearing the roar of the crowd erupt as soon as Jerry breaks out into the open!

The kid is great, but he is no Marc Mariani. JLM is a Griz great not a legend like the kid from the high line. MM in the SDSU game is something beyond special ! I hope JLM kills it this year. Keep the TDS rolling.

Comparison brings up sad memories ... not at all because of talent, charisma, etc. IMO, Marc never really got a fair chance in the NFL to show what he could do as a receiver. Then, when they "de-emphasized" his kick-off "specialty," you could see the end.

I doubt that JLM will even get a sniff at the NFL. For all his talent, he's just too small. I can see the CFL in his future, however (assuming he wants to go that route).

Teams in the Big Sky have figured out how to kick to him: Kick it high but a bit shorter, rugby kick it so it rolls, or kick it out of bounds. Non-conference teams, for whatever reason, still kick to him. Must not watch enough video.

If you outkick your coverage on JLM, you're screwed.

Littlest guy on the field, heart of a champion. Hope he gets one his senior season--he deserves it (championship, that is).

Sulser is a bit smaller than JLM. Agreed on all the rest. I would never kick to him.

Don't doubt JLM too early for NFL. A guy from down south who I talked with about Mariani being NFL caliber basically laughed off the idea saying he was just too small and not athletic enough to even be considered for the NFL ... Boy did Marc prove him wrong 😂.

MM was from the Hi-Line, not the "high line", and yes he was spectacular in the South Dakota State playoff game.

But this is about JLM. Congrats to Jerry, the Coeur d'Alene community must be proud.
