Your logic is flawed. Good thing we dont have that college bowl thing going on anymore. I say let Northern Colorado remain, which is a nice campus btw, remain in the Big Sky - and have Montana leave.

The hypocrisy on this board sometimes is just laughable, the whole discussion on whether schools should be aligned by what level of a University they are is stupid. Many Egrizers claim that Montana should be aligned with their academic peers, yet long to be in a conference with Boise State who is not much different a University than Weber State.

If anything, today conference affiliation has more to do with TV money market than anything else.

Yup - some (most Griz fans are great) think that since the went to MCC, they are somehow more specialer than those of us that went to a "directional" school, even though my "directional" school academically is on par or better than MCC

I admit, I find it hard to call them UNC. Then again, I am a huge North Carolina Tar Heel basketball fan. I'd rather spell out Northern Colorado, or call them NoCO, than use UNC when referring to them. Then again, how many people outside of GRIZ fans would think of Montana if asked which university or program do you think of when hearing UM or U of M? Then again, that is why I just refer to UM as the GRIZ!!!!

I travel extensively, and UM is never associated with Montana. I've even had some knowledgable sports fans think the University of Montana are the Bobcats. Truth is knowledgable sports fan can come in many shapes and sizes. I have a buddy that briefly played for the All-Blacks years ago, and he is a walking encyclopedia when it comes to them. Can anyone else here do that?

I have a relative that knows everything about schools in New England especially basketball, even high school. He knew of University of Montana but had no idea we are the Grizzlies let alone the Griz
