Cal Poly is looking like the real deal this season so far, a close FBS loss and 2 wins over top 10 FCS teams in a row

We make them look like the real deal every flipping season it seems...

3 wins in a row over us. Coulda been 4 if not escaping in 2013 by the skin of our teeth

Their best record in that span was 7-4.

Someone explain to me what is wrong with this picture.

Before the season started, some Griz fans would be happy with 2-1 after the first 3 games...defense didn't play well enough for me to be satisfied.

still happy with 2-1. especially because our one loss was on the road by one point against a ranked team.

Stitt lost that one. Second to last series he was coaching "coaching not to lose" rather than "coaching to win" that conservative pay calling will come back to bite a team in the ass most times..... Bad coaching...

I really hate Cal Poly. Amazingly so. I think Semore has not passed his DC "rite of passage" yet. O line still has work to do in all facets of blocking. Just a frustrating game. Turnovers were the deciding factor. That and not capitalizing on the one we did get. There are 14 points that should not be on the board and at least 7 that should be.

One thing is for certain... JLM is a beast! I'm excited to see what he can do in the games and years ahead!

You can't have it both ways. Take a look at the turnovers. The Griz turnovers set up Poly to score while the Poly turnover kept them from scoring.

Offense for the most part did its job. Defense gave up too many big plays. I am no TG supporter but this board hammered him for the big plays given up. Looks like dejavu.

28-point swing on those two turnovers.

Gus looked awesome for most of the game.

Defense had its moments, but still seems to have problems with the big play.

I think we'll be fine, but this was a game we should have had.

I suggest the next time we play Poly we watch footage of teams that play Georgia Tech, Navy, Air Force ect. that actually have success stopping the option, whatever we did today didn't work for shit.

Not sure anything. The Griz just haven't been that great of a team lately. We will see how this season plays out.

Any guesses how far we drop? I say to 15-16

We won't drop that far. Most likely 11-13 range. We lost to a good Poly team on the road by one point who should have been ranked to start this season.

Happy to see the offense in rhythm most the game

Defense stopped the dive well, but the perimeter was hammered

Secondary...

Gus still whiffs on a half dozen blitz pick-ups every game, but overall had a great game

If this is how the offense is going to look and execute, we're going to win a lot of games...poly just had our number right now

1st and goal at the 6 and we get a field goal......poor safety play......end of story!

Defense was horrible.
