Week 11: Playoff Bracket Predictions

Sarcasm doesn't come off well in the printed word, unless it is dripping wet. I would expect integrity from the selection committee. The Griz would have to get home field advantage to get those 20,000+ bodies in the seats. How could the committee justify that? "Truth" doesn't play well on eGriz.

There is no justice in the first round of the FCS playoffs...Since there are no seeded teams playing you know it boils down to money...and I am not saying that is right, or that it will get the Griz into the field, but it does play into which team gets to host.

Very True. If the Griz did get in, they definitely will get a home game, as they will not get outbid. Then only two things can happen if they win.
1. If they Committe Favored the Griz to win the next game will probably be BSC or MVFC
2. If the Committe Favored the other team, and the Griz win, they will be heading out for a regionalized opponent of the team they defeated in the first round.

They don't seed the second round as a whole but make a matchups for the second round based on expected outcomes of the first round.

Remember when the playoffs were not diluted? A team that has a 1-4 road record doesn't belong in the playoffs...

I remember it well. Yes you are correct about that prediction.
However, the field of 24 is now the starting point and who knows...

Griz playoff chances went into the toilet last week, sadly. Believe what you will. 20,000+ bodies in the WG$ is the only hope the Griz have. The selection committee will take that into account, I'm sure.

No, they won't.

It's high time you all get shitfaced on some truth. This video has a member of the selection committee walking through the process. About the only chance you have for a post season is the auto bid.

Man I bet the world is a scary and confusing place for you isn't it??? I can't believe the NCAA wouldn't just come out on youtube and say that they really just care about money...how strange......if the Griz are 8-4 they get in...I don't care wtf anyone has to say....they're in at 8-4....can they get to that.....I have my concerns!

Yep, like the NIT. Everyone needs a participation ribbon.

In a normal year, I'd agree. But given who those 4 losses were to, and how closely played 3 of the 4 were, I would tend NOT to agree this particular year.

Unfortunately for you, the guy, Troy Dannen, UNI AD and Committe member, in the video has more say in the decision than everyone else here put together.

He must also be the only person working for the NCAA that doesn't care about money also..what a swell guy...or could he just not be mentioning that....hmmmmm

In a normal year, I'd agree. But given who those 4 losses were to, and how closely played 3 of the 4 were, I would tend NOT to agree this particular year.

The Wyoming game we could and should have won

The NDSU game we stood no chance and it wasn't as close of a game as the score showed

The Cal Poly game was flat out embarrassing

The EWU wasnt as close as the score showed as well..

:?
1st Downs... UM 24, EWU 20
Total Yards... UM 527, EWU 461
Passing... UM 447, EWU 410
Rushing... UM 80, EWU 51

I know we got down due to not executing when it mattered, but the game was as close as the score showed. I was there.

Those stats are blown out of proportion. Garbage yard stats..

NDSU game we threw a pick in the end zone which would have made the score 19-17 with 10 minutes left in the game.

EWU game we threw TWO picks in the end zone, beat EWU in every statistical category, and were down 7 with 4 minutes to play. Exactly HOW close does a game need to be for you to say it was "closer than it looked"?

If Montana gets in over a Cal Poly and both have a 8-4 record (Cal Poly finishes against Davis and San Diego and will win both) it would be a crime. Cal Poly's record is against an all D1 schedule and they have a 3 TD win over the Griz.

Mark it down, because it WILL happen. 8-) 8-)

We were down 35-10 before crawling back into the game.. It was no different than last years game.

Can't really argue.

Nope, the Griz will lose another one in the next two weeks.
