Exactly. If someone could have helped Breunig out it would definitely be a different game.
 
We needed Gregory to be hitting earlier than this? At least he does not shy away from the ball. I hope that Dunn and Gfeller learn from him.
 
What the hell? Bolomboy drops it out of bounds, Weber's announcers even say he did, and it's Weber's ball?

Definitely do. Many games last year where we went in absolute funks on offense he was still able to create his own shot and get us out of them.

I hope more teams press Weber State rest of the season. I'd be doing it at least 1/2 the game, until the proved they could handle it consistently.

I'm guessing the conversation went something like this while looking at the replay.

Ref1: Well...man we fucked that call up.
Ref2: Yup...lol why the hell did you think that went off a Griz player?
Ref1: I wasn't really paying attention I just figured it did.
Ref2: Oh well, you'll get it next time. Weber Ball!
 
We didn't seem to have much fire for a game against our biggest conference rival. Maybe Saturday.
 
The outcome was expected. The GRIZ dug themselves too big of an hole to dig out of. It will be interesting to see how the GRIZ and Weber State play the season out. Weber State was expected to contend. The GRIZ are capable of contending. Weber State absolutely stinks against pressure defense. They have to get that in check. Meanwhile the GRIZ have to find more scorers. Dunn, Weisner (when healthy), and Gfeller have to become more consistent scorers. Defensively, the GRIZ are very good.

On the road that's been an issue this year especially if the shots early on don't fall. We get in these funks, look all out of sorts on offense and don't look like the same Griz team that hung with Davidson, Cal and Boise.

An 8 point loss @Weber isn't horrible. Weber is always tough at home and the Griz made it interesting after it looked like it was going to be an absolute disaster. Road wins in the Big Sky are always tough, so if we can split this trip and come back home at 3-1 it'll be a good start to the conference season for us. On to ISU!
 
I'm really impressed by how Breunig is asserting himself. He's got great touch for a big guy, he can handle the ball, he's too quick for most of the guys who try to guard him. And when defenders back off to protect against his drives, he can hit the outside shot.

I don't understand why UW let him get away. He can certainly play in the PAC 12.
