They represent objective criteria to use when evaluating success. Weber has a fine program as do the Griz. To suggest otherwise is delusional.
Yaaa, whatever you got to tell yourself to feel good. Tinkle wanted out badly, he felt scorned. Let's dig this thread up after the gristle finish 5-8th and are tossed after the first round, if they even make the tourney.

AS much as I respect Weber State's program and Randy Rahe, WSUnPurple makes it so hard to pull for them.
Favor to other Weber State basketball fans who post on egriz, please show this idiot up. He drags your fans down. I am looking forward to reading some better quality of posts than from this idiot that predicts the same things over and over, just like a broken clock it will be right 2x's per day. Too bad for him, he has not been right on his GRIZ predictions for the most part of the last decade.
Do all Weber fans a favor and just go away, WeberSki.WSUnPurple said:mtgrizrule said:Congrats to Weber State on the signing.

Anthony Johnson (Weber's women's basketball coach wouldn't offer his wife, so he went to UM) and we all know what happened with that one (Ugh!!).
Will Cherry went to UM, because he didn't want to play behind Damian Lillard. Granted, Lillard has had a far better professional career, but Will won the championships.
Art Steward was offered by both schools. To me, he was one of the best glue men in conference history. He was such a great leader on and off the floor. Frank Mook Otis would have gone to UM, but the Grizz didn't have a scholarship, so luckily, Weber was able to get him, but it was close.
Jermaine Edmonds and Daniel Nwosu were both recruited by both schools. Weber passed on Edmonds, and never brought in Nwosu, because we got the JC we wanted, but Weber thought enough about both to give them looks. They are both good players. I think Weber would have made more of a run if they would have had two years instead of one at JCs under their belts.
As for the recruiting wars and who has recruited the best. Jordan Dallas is a huge recruit. Admittedly, he is one of the best big men to come to Weber out of high school since the 1980s. He reminds me a lot of a Weber State great from the 80s. He is going to be good. How good, well that depends on him. Emmanuel Nzekwesi is also a very highly rated recruit. He had 16 offers that we know about and was receiving interest from Oklahoma, TCU, and Texas A&M. A major program made a late run at him, but he stayed true to the four schools he committed to visit and decided on Weber. Juwan Williams had a handful too. But, this doesn't say anything. Scotty Bamforth only had three offers coming out of his JC, and he ended up being one of Weber State's greatest players. Bruce Collins, also a Weber State great, was completely overlooked. What I'm saying is, just because ESPN says so, doesn't mean they will develop or become a great player. Look at Brandon Cataldo at PSU. He was an ESPN 90 and what has he done?
I like Oguine and Samuelson, both will need time. Oguine will be able to play, probably, immediately, but who knows. He is a good add and one of the best in the Sky. But the Griz need bigs.
