Wearing Griz Colors

Goin to the M's/Yankees game @ Safeco on Sunday (with a couple other Griz fans) and I FULLY expect to see MANY others besides me in their Griz gear at what is likely to be a sellout! :clap: :thumb:

Well that settles it then. It looks like the anecdotal perception of color at a festival in Billings has at long last settled the issue of what team has more fans. I am glad we were able to settle this on a June weekend in Billings rather than a decades-long study or constant back and forth arguing.

I am also finally glad to know that fandom should always follow the principle that the majority rules. I am sure that the uptick in fan support starting in the early 90s is purely coincidental and has nothing to do with winning. I hope everyone can realize that they should just stop arguing and fall into line, because if everyone is a Griz fan then there will be no anguish and arguing like this in the state of Montana.

Billings is and will be Griz Country for quite some time. From time to time scat colors emerge but they are usually from the engineering companies that hired cat grads that didn't have a GPA high enough to get on with Boeing.

I don't doubt you, there are a lot of Griz fans in Billings. But I might add that the whole color scheme goes well with strawberries... as they are both shades of red. I don't actually think that the number of Griz fans are on the rise, in fact due to the huge drop in new Freshman at UM I would probably say it's dropping. That does not however account for the older generation, and as Billings is generally a town of middle-aged people, that would make sense.

I live in San Antonio now. If I wear Griz colors, I get mistaken for a Texas A&M fan. If I wear OLD Griz colors, I get mistaken for a University of Texas fan....f*** 'em.

haha I'm down in Houston, and I get the exact same thing! I do get a few "Go Griz" from people every now and then.

I was in Houston last winter and several people knew the colors I was wearing, got quite a few Go Griz, and was asked quite a few times about the colors as they did think they were A&M.

well this is new. unlike most threads, this one started off full retard but actually got better with time. :shock: valiant effort hammer.
