"We All Want What Montana Has"

And we want what North Dakota State has, and what Appalachian State had, because we do not have it.

Have the team for it, though. Go Griz!

What does EWU have that anybody wants? A regionally renowned body work and paint program? 3,500 white, chubby, acne ridden wannabe ganstas as fans? A red field? That's like wanting gonorrhea of the throat...

A buddy of mine went to Cheney Tech. He said that the girls were half as smart, and thus twice as likely to fellate him. Not sure if it worked out, but he did have a gross of penicillin on hand at all times.

That's some sound reasoning for an EWU student. What was his valedictorian speech about?

He was summa cum laude in diesel tech. He got up there for his speech in 20 degree weather, and he fucking spoke, for an hour and 43 minutes in his school uniform (wife beater) with no coat on, cold as shit. It weakened him. He eventually died of Superpneumonia. His last words were, "make sure they never make that field red . . . ugh . . . never red." And that red abomination is how EWU "honored" its greatest grad ever. RIP, Richard Hurtz.

Nice work, CDA! Thank you sharing this motivational story with us all. From this moment forward, I will always associate EWU with Richard Hurtz!

On a personal note, perhaps I've been unfair to EWU over the years. I'm sure there are a lot of other Dicks on that campus with the same wisdom and honor.

Nice quote from South Dakota State Coach John Stiegelmeier (about playing NDSU this week) on the SportsNetwork website:

"It has nothing to do with facilities, it ain't nothing to do with the coaches, understand?" Stiegelmeier said. "You've got to beat them on the field, and you've got to do that a number of years to be looked at as the same type of program.

"We all want what Nebraska has. We all want what North Dakota State has, what Montana has, what Appalachian State had. I'm not envious; that's the goal. There's a target next to getting to Frisco" for the FCS championship game in Texas.

Funny he didn't mention the Bobcats, or even EWU.[/quote

I think he obviously mentioned teams that have recently won national championships. Not teams that won 30 years ago even Though EWU won it all a few years ago.

Since when does a dozen years equate to "recent".... Just an observation.

Observer you crack me up....Just an observation.

Geez. Kind of harsh!! I simply made an observation that a previous poster lumped um as a "recent nc winner". I don't know what they teach you at your arts school but a dozen years does not equate to "recent". When will you guys quit living in the past??

Just tell that, to the year 1984, if you would!

What equates to recent? I hope you don't say the year Eastern Washington from Cheney, Washington fell ass first into the title game.

It's nice the The Absurder has picked up the slack for all the Cat fans who have become eerily quiet...carry on.

I observed that observer sounds remarkably similar to ewueagle2010 on the EWU board. here is on of his diddies:

I'll take EWU's last 5 years over UM's any day of the week. A clean, successful program with a fantastic coaching staff and growing it's support each day. As an EWU fan, it's been an amazing ride that's only getting better! :thumb:

So over those last 5 years that he is so proud of:
Win/Loss record UM 51-16, EWU 44-19
Playoff Appearances: UM 3, EWU 3 (EWU successfully petitioned the NCAA to rescind a prohibition on playoff appearances in 2009 when they were on probation for having too many coaches, letting ineligble players practice and other violations)
Semi-Final appearances: UM 3, EWU 2
NC Appearances: UM 2, EWU 1 (EWU backed into the championship game when the officials made a blatantly bad call in the Semi Final game that gifted them a win over NDSU)
Years on NCAA probation for cheating: UM 0, EWU 3 (UM starts probation this year)
Players arrested for pulling a gun on Cops: UM 0, EWU 1
Assistant Basketball coaches arrested for domestic violence and starting his clothes on fire: UM 0, EWU 1
players convicted of rape: UM 1, EWU 1

Sorry, but there's only one set of #'s that matters during that stretch:

0-2
1-0

All the rest are just window dressing.

It would seem the South Dakota State coach was referring to how the Montana Grizzlies have consistently made it to the playoffs and played for the National Championship frequently within the past decade. The Griz were in the title game in 2004, 2008, and 2009, while also making it to the semi-finals a time or two as well. They also made it to the chipper in 1995, 1996, 2000, and 2001. How many times have the Eagles made it there observer??? Better yet, how many times have they made the playoffs "recently"???

No observation here, but the observer is not all that bright and kind of a d-bag, that is clearly a fact backed up by his little so-called observations.

Okay to clear it all up for everybody when I said recent I was talking about EWU, App St, NDSU.

The Griz played for the national championship just as recent as your team did.

You win the childish games award hands down. It is safe to assume that you are either a little kid or really immature for your age..."just an observation"
